The Manor House
Guests have a choice of five rooms each with a comfortable lounge area and a well appointed en-suite bathroom. A spacious lounge with an open fire-place for cold winter evenings, bar, dining room with fire-place, library and TV invites guests to more than home luxuries.
The spacious deck overlooks a river running through the valley, gardens, forests, mountains and lakes.
Meals are served in the dining room of the Manor House. The resturant offers a superb menu, incorporating South African Cuisine with international presentation and standards.
The Country House
The Country House is decorated in a classic country style and offers five luxurious double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom access to the veranda, with a magnificent view over the valley, indigenous forest and mountains.
The country house is self-catering and accommodates a maximum of 10 persons. With an open plan lounge, dining room and TV room, the Country House is ideally suited for families, friends and corporate groups.
The Country House is has a fully equipped kitchen for self catering meals. Guests are more than welcome to take meals in the Manor House.
Tent Chalets provide the more adventurous guests the opportunity to experience nature in comfortable accommodation.
Each chalet is with an en-suite bathroom, front seating deck with kitchenette and with views over one of the lakes in the valley. The family chalet sleeps four and the honeymoon chalet sleeps two persons comfortably.
The tented chalets are fully equipped for self-catering.
Luxury Nature Cabins
For an experience close to nature stay over in one of our Nature Cabins. The cabins are hidden within a valley on the edge of a mountain stream.
The private one bedroom cabins accommodates two persons with a king size bed, an en site bathroom fitted with a romantic bath and shower. The kitchen area includes a bar fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery for two persons. The closed combustion wood fireplace in the lounge area in the cabin creates a cosy and intimate atmosphere perfect for couples while the covered front deck overlooking the forest and river is furnished with a dining table, dick charis and gas braaito enjoy the outdoors. While the Luxury Nature Cabins are set up for self catering, meals can be taken at the restaurant in the Manor House
The picturesque watermill which was built in the 19th century has been renovated into 2 separate accommodation rooms with incredible views of the dams, mountains and forests of Valley of the Rainbow estate. The newly renovated Mill, opens to a social bar and lounge area fitted with a bar fridge, stocked wine cooler and DSTV. The fireplace on the lower floor offers guests to relax and to warm up in winter. On the mezzanine level, the luxury Mill is equipped with a plush double bed and bathroom. This upper level sleeping area offers unique views of the dams. On the lower level there is a full bathroom with a double shower.
The Mill room adjacent to the Mill, is spacious with plush king size bed, a lounge area with a TV and DSTV connection, stocked wine cooler, bar fridge and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. The fireplace offers guests to relax during the cold winter nights. The open plan design of the room leads to a veranda overlooking the river. All rooms have coffee/tea making facilities
Mild Climate and Malaria free
Visitors will experience the peace and tranquillity of the venue, prolific birdlife including 5 kingfisher species, the fish eagle and endangered blue crane, variety of game including buck, vevet monkey, bush pig, cerval cat and the clawless otter.
Adventure activities include Fly Fishing in river and lakes, Hiking and Birding trails, Night walks, Horse riding on mountain trails, Mountain biking trails, Abseiling and overnight camping in mountains. Enjoy 4x4, motorcycle and mountain bike outrides on country roads
Take the N12 which links with the N 4 towards Nelspruit.
Pass all the Witbank turnoffs and just after the Tollgate take the 2nd turnoff Fontein Road left into Middelburg Central.
Carry on until T Junction (to the left in front is a beautiful white church). Turn Right.
Carry on (900M) until a sign Stoffberg / Groblersdal (just after Harrys Tyres) - Turn Left
Drive 64km (Stoffberg is not a town its only a Silo and Blinkwater Mill)
TURN RIGHT at sign saying Roossenekal (ENGEN on right)
Carry on 4km over the hill - sign saying Dullstroom - Turn Right (police station on right), Gravel Road for 12km, 10km V keep left
About 2km from here is sign Valley of the Rainbow turn right, This is a small two track road for about 2km towards Parking Area at Manor House on your left.
