Blue Crane Farm is a beautiful fly fishing venue with spectacular self catering cottages in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga. The farm is situated approximately 10 minutes’ drive from the well-known fly fishing destination of Dullstroom with all its amenities, shops, restaurants and attractions. This venue is ideal for family holidays and group bookings.
Activities and Attractions:
The farm boasts two beautiful dams where guests can enjoy fly fishing. Both dams are stocked with rainbow and brown trout.
Bird watching is also a very popular activity on the farm due to the big variety of land and water bird species that visit. Endangered bird species such as the Crowned Crane and Blue Crane can also be spotted and we have a Blue Crane breeding pair that recently nested on one of the islands in the big dam.
The venue offers beautiful scenery with free roaming game species such as Springbuck, Blesbuck, Zebra, Hartebeest and Vaal Rhebuck. We offer guests the chance to hike or cycle on well kept paths on the farm.

Hillcroft is a phenomenal 8 sleeper unit with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The 1st and 2nd bedroom each has a queen bed. The 3rd and 4th bedroom each have 2 single beds. The 1st bathroom has a shower and the 2nd bathroom a bathtub.
Kingfisher comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed while the second room has 2 single beds. Each room has an ensuite bathroom, 1 of which has a shower, and the other with a bath.
Lake View is a phenomenal 8 sleeper unit with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The 1st and 2nd bedroom each has a queen bed. The 3rd and 4th bedroom each have 2 single beds. The 1st bathroom has a shower and the 2nd bathroom a bathtub.
Last Cast is a brand new 4 sleeper with a stunning stone boma. The main bedroom has a queen-size and bathroom with shower and bathtub. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and bathroom with a shower.
Lawrenny is a quaint and romantic cottage that can accommodate 2 adults. The unit comprises a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom with shower, an open-plan kitchen with living and dining area Built-in braai on the patio.
Misty Waters is a 6 sleeper unit with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The 1st bedroom (queen bed) has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The 2nd (queen bed) and 3rd bedroom (2x single beds) share a bathroom with a shower.
Otter’s Cove is a 6 sleeper unit with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The 1st bedroom (queen bed) has an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The 2nd (queen bed) and 3rd bedroom (2x single beds) share a bathroom with a shower.
