Travalia Guest Farm is situated 500 metres from the N1 highway and 1 km south of the Shell Ultra City Three Sisters. Each one of our 26 spacious rooms is equipped with its own bathroom, braai facilities, as well as air conditioners. Sheep and cattle are farmed on the farm as well as game namely Kudu, springbok, blesbok, and a variety of smaller antelope. We are pet-friendly at an additional fee. Dogs must be on a leash Fully licensed restaurant and farm stall. Tasty meals/braai packs, consisting of Karoo Lamb chops and sausage or traditional meals such as leg of lamb, chicken pie. Braai breads are also made for clientele and we provide wood as well. Travalia Guest Farm is fully licensed and liquor, cool drinks, beer, wines, ice etc are available at the main reception. Breakfast and other farm produce are sold at the farm store.

*Three Sisters is a landmark along the N1 in the Karoo National Park and is situated about eighty kilometres to the northeast of Beaufort West. It is at the junction of the N1 and N12 national routes and has become a popular stopping off place with the building of a Shell Ultra City there *Three Sisters gets its name from three clearly visible and almost identical dolerite-topped koppies in the vicinity. These were formed by the differential weathering of a dolerite sill *Not only are the Three Sisters, with their accompanying filling station, particularly beautiful but they have also come to represent something of a landmark. They’re virtually an icon of the N1 and everyone knows to look out for them *A stay in and around Three Sisters, promises gorgeous scenery, a welcome break, veld and mountains for hiking and typical Karoo hospitality. *By the time diamonds were discovered in 1868, many traders, travellers, peddlers, explorers and missionaries were already quite familiar with the Karoo. There were already well-established routes into the interior *One of the main arteries to the North passed through the present-day guest farm, Travalia. The N1 vaguely follows a similar route and like the N12, the old Diamond Way swung to the left at Three Sisters and round the small outcrop of hills to continue on to Brakfontein, a coaching stop en route to Victoria West *The first reliable services to the diamond fields were well underway by 1870. Coaches passed the point where Travalia’s buildings are situated and rushed on to Brakfontein for refreshment, fodder and fresh horses
