What is the cancellation policy at Softwaters Farm Guesthouse?

Deposit = 100% of the entire booking fee for bookings made within 7 days of arrival. T he deposit is to be paid via EFT. Like all Hotels and Guest Houses we have a strict Cancellation policy to protect us against cancellations. We only have a few rooms available and cannot make up for lost business. We have a live calendar with Nightsbridge which connects to many websites around the world giving instant online availability. Once a room is booked, it is no longer available to sell on these websites. Verbal and email bookings are binding as a confirmation of the booking. Companies/Travel agencies operating on a Bill back basis will also be liable to pay cancellation fees if cancelled whether we have a voucher or not. Please make sure you or your clients are aware of our policy before making a booking at our establishment. - In the event of premature departure we will charge for the full original booking and there will be no refund: - Cancellation 7 days before date of arrival, or no-show – Visitor forfeits 100% of deposit paid; - Cancellation 8 to 15 days before date of arrival – Visitor forfeits 75% of deposit paid or 25% of full quote value (whichever is greater); - Cancellation 16+ days before date of arrival – Visitor forfeits 50% of deposit paid or 25% of full quote value (whichever is greater); - Any refunds will be subject to bank fees; - Inclement weather is not a valid reason for any cancellation or refund irrespective of cancellation or notice period; - For non-arrival/no show or premature departure you will be liable for 100% of the total booking fee. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Guests agree on behalf of themselves and the members of their parties that neither the establishment, its owners, employees nor agents shall be responsible for any injury or death of any person or the loss or destruction of or damage to any property upon the premises, whether arising from fire, theft or any cause and by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence (gross or otherwise) or wrongful act of any person in the employment of the guesthouse. Softwaters Farm Guesthouse - Louis Trichardt

Softwaters Farm Guesthouse is situated along the Soutpansberg Mountain range, at the foot of the Luondo Mountain (Approx 26 km East of Louis Trichardt and 110 km West of Punda Maria gate). The Guesthouse is situated on the farm and is the ideal place to get some well needed R&R.

Softwaters is a working farm which produces a range of fruit and nuts; Machadmia nuts the main crop is supported by Pecan nuts, Avacados and Litchis. The cropping season normally runs from late February to July. Lichis are harvested in the middle of summer and over the Christmas holiday “festive"season.

The Guesthouse has been built from the remains of the original farm homestead. The character of the old house has been maintained during its transformation, which has taken 9 years. Please be aware not all the walls are straight and corners square! Rooms are comfortable with direct access to secure private gardens.

Apart from the busy farm and beautiful scenery we have three accommodation units, Ida`s Cottage (2 Pax), Mahogany Cottage (2 Pax) and the Guesthouse which contains Choctaw Room (2 Pax) and is the only B&B unit. All are fully furnished and equipped to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

With over 300 bird species in the area and a few wild animals scattered about walks and bike rides are sure to be very enjoyable. There are a number of other activities that guests are able to indulge in, whilst staying over.

Choctaw is located in the Guesthouse with large patio doors that open onto a small secluded part of the gardern where you can enjoy a nice coffee. The room is en suit and can accommodate two people and is the only B&B unit.

Ida`s Cottage
Ida`s Cottage is a self-catering cottage that is nestled underneath a swath of large trees at the bottom end of the garden. Sleeps two with the possibility of an additional bed for a child.

Mahogany Cottage
Mahogany Cottage is a self-catering cottage that is nestled underneath a swath of large trees at the top end of the garden. Sleeps two with the possibility of an additional bed for a child.

Activities:

Birding Trails, hiking in the mountains, fishing near by, Mountain biking, Relaxing, Kruger park, Pottery in the local villages and lots more.

Health and Climate:

Softwaters Farm is a Nut producing farm and we process and store nut here as well. In the rainy season it is advised that high clearance and 4x4 vehicles are used as farm road may from timt to time may be very muddy.
