Rietpoort Guesthouse and Guestfarm (close to the N12 near Britstown, Northern Cape) is the perfect halfway stop between Cape Town and Johannesburg - be it for one night only or a few days to start your holiday in countryside elegance and restful comfort. We are a working sheep farm and our guesthouse was established in 1994.
Three beautifully decorated cottages offer real old-world-atmosphere with stink wood and antique furniture. Our cottages are private and fully equipped with self-catering facilities. Braai facilities are also available. Meals can be served on request.
Activities such as swimming, walking and climbing the koppies are on offer. Star gazing is spectacular in this part of the world. We are situated 24 km south of Britstown on the N12.

A total of 3 cottages are available.
Cottage 1 and 2 are next to each other and they each have 2 bedrooms (Main bedroom with a Queen size bed, and the second with 3 x single beds), 1 bathroom with shower and bath, open plan lounge with a kitchen and a private braai area. Both cottages have a cozy fireplace and air conditioning in the living area.
The Olive Cottage has 3 bedrooms, Main Bedroom is air conditioned with double bed, ensuite bathroom with bath and shower, second bedroom has a double bed and a third bedroom with 2 single beds. Second bathroom has a shower only. Open plan kitchen with a dining room, living area, Patio with private garden as well as enclosed braai lapa. Perfect for a larger family or 2 couples travelling together.
Ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Bedding, toweling as well as tea, coffee, rusks and milk are provided.
All cottages have secure outdoor parking.
A swimming pool is within walking distance from the cottages as well as a Jungle Gym for the children.
Enjoy bird Watching with an abundance of birds on farm, star gazing at night and plenty open space to take a stroll or even a ride on your bike.

Cottage 2: West facing and has 2 bedrooms - the main bedroom with a Queen size bed and the second bedroom has 3 single beds, a bathroom with bath and shower, open plan living/kitchen area with a patio and braai.
The Olive Cottage has 3 bedrooms (2 rooms with double beds and 1 room with 2 single beds), 2 bathrooms (1 of which is ensuite with a shower and a bath the second with a shower only. Large open plan kitchen with dining area, a spacious living room with TV and fireplace and a private garden with an enclosed braai Lapa.
All linen as well as bath towels are provided in the cottages.
