The Molopo Lodge was named after the river bed that is situated infront of the lodge – although this river rarely flows it is still a sight to see and filled with various animal life that you can encounter on a fun family hike.
Molopo Kalahari Lodge is situated in the area known as the Green Green Kalahari, 60 km from the world famous Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. On your arrival you should pop in at the famous Molopo Kalahari Bar. You can enjoy one of their delightful cocktails after your long day, or an ice-cold beer to wash away the Kalahari dust, you might just run into a few other Kalahari explorers who want to share their experiences with you.

The Molopo Kalahari Lodge consists of a camping area that is perfect for the avid nature lover. There is nothing better than pitching your tent under the stars to spend the night and enjoy a large bonfire braai with you and your family. With a well-organised lapa and braai at each campsite, you will still have everything you need right at your fingertips even though you are camping.
The Molopo Camping Chalets are situated farthest from the lodge and restaurant at the entrance of the Molopo Kalahari Lodge. These 6 individual chalets are not only comfortable but also very spacious – each with their own private braai facilities and a central Masai-style boma enclosure that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Molopo offers 10 stylish chalets that are a bit more private and situated further away from the main lodge. Each chalet has its own outside braai and can share one of the 2 private swimming pools located at the top and bottom of the chalets.
The Molopo offes 10 luxurious rondavels that are located next to the main swimming pool in the garden underneath lush Kalahari thorn trees. These rondavels are situated next to the main lodge and restaurant. Each rondavel has its own outside braai that overlooks the main swimming pool.
The Molopo offers 6 tented chalets nestle on the surrounding Kalahari dunes overlooking the lodge from their individual private wooden decks. Elegant outdoor showers will make you feel at one with Mother Nature. The tented chalets with their roll-up sides allow you to take in the amazing surroundings while lying on your bed. These chalets are within walking distance of the restaurant and pool area.
Molopo offers an escape from reality with their luxurious villas. The villas are isolated from the rest of the lodge so that guests can appreciate the serenity of Mother Nature. These villas are equipped with everything that you may possibly need. Enjoy air conditioning, on- suite bathrooms, a swimming pool and lovely evenings listening only to the crackling fire and the soothing Kalahari sounds with a fully equipped braai area including a grid and fire lighters.
