La Roca Guest House is an owner-managed 4-star Boutique Guest House located in an upmarket residential suburb of Nelspruit. Spread amongst 6,000 m of sub-tropical garden, several of our rooms, the breakfast lapa and pool deck enjoy stunning uninterrupted views over the Nelspruit Nature Reserve and escarpment beyond.
Conveniently situated only 2 Km from the city centre, La Roca Guest House is a peaceful oasis within which to unwind from a long days work or to use as a base for exploring the many world class attractions in the vicinity: the Kruger National Park; Blyde River Canyon; Mozambique and Swaziland are all less than an hour away.
Offering standard, luxury and executive accommodation, all our en-suite rooms have been individually decorated with attention to detail and each have a private entrance and a balcony or patio.

Each of our 14 rooms are luxuriously appointed and have en-suite bathrooms, private entrances and either a private patio or balcony. Superior Rooms have baths and showers and an open plan lounge area, whilst Standard Rooms are slightly smaller with shower only.

Nelspruit, the capital of Mpumalanga, lies in the fertile valley of the Crocodile River and has been called the gateway to Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park. The Lowveld botanical gardens just outside Nelspruit boast a rare collection of plant species and the first man-made rain forest, which attracts the majority of Nelspruit’s visitors.

If cancelling 2 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
If cancelling 8 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling 15 days before arrival, forfeit 30% of the deposit.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 20% of the deposit.
* We reserve the right to not refund card fees (transaction costs) in the case of cancellations or other situations where funds need to be reversed back to a credit card. * The cardholder & ID/Passport must be present at check-in.
* The credit card used for the online payment must be present at check-in OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

* We reserve the right to change room allocations based on guest requirements, length of stay and occupancy considerations. *In consideration of other guests’ health and comfort, and for safety purposes, it is a legal requirement that smoking is not permitted in any of the guest rooms. However, all rooms have patios/balconies where smoking is allowed.
* Whilst children are welcomed, parents are expected to ensure they do not cause other guests discomfort or do not damage property unnecessarily. We only accommodate children in our Luxury Family Rooms and Executive Suite. If guests have not booked for their children and the room booked is cannot accommodate children, management reserves the right to either move them to a child friendly room at an additional cost (if available), or assist guests in finding alternative accommodation, but guests will still be liable to pay for the reserved room as per our cancellation policy. *Whilst great care has been taken to ensure the safety of guests and their visitors’ possessions (secure parking and room safes are provided), we do not accept any liability for loss of or damage to guests’/visitors’ property through negligence of the guests/visitors. Guests are expected to have made adequate arrangements for insuring their valuables, including vehicles.
* Items left behind by guests that are found will be kept in safe storage for 1 month, after which they will be disposed of. Guests are responsible for organising and paying for to return of their personal belongings.
* La Roca has a large swimming pool deck area and a large garden surrounds. The pool is unfenced, and no life-saving facilities or staff are provided. Children in the pool deck area must be accompanied by responsible persons at all times. Guests, their children and their visitors use these facilities entirely at their own risk and therefore indemnify La Roca and the owners in full and shall have no claim of whatsoever nature against them, including any claim from injury, death, or loss of property which could arise from using these facilities.
* Damages beyond ‘wear and tear’, due to guests or their /children’s/visitors’ negligence; and loss or theft of items will be for the guests/ guest’s company account and will be charged at the discretion of management. It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that they hand in their key set. Failure to do so will result in a R500 charge to replace the set.
* La Roca reserves the right to control the admission of people onto the property; if they do not have permission to be on the property or if their behaviour is unacceptable, offensive, unduly disruptive or poses a security risk. Firearms or other weapons are strictly prohibited. La Roca accepts no liability for any loss or damage that may result from the legal and reasonable exercising of such rights.
From N4 West (Pretoria / Johannesburg) 1. Heading into Nelspruit on the N4, take the first turn off to the left sign signposted for Nelspruit centre and R40 Barberton. 2. When you arrive at the set of traffic lights for the R40, turn right onto the R40 towards Barberton. 3. Take the first turn left at the next set of traffic lights into Piet Retief St. 4. Continue straight on Piet Retief St. - over 2 sets of traffic lights, a small traffic circle and a 4-way stop street. 5. Immediately after the stop street, take the first turn right into Van Wijk St - there is a sign for La Roca on your left. 6. Continue straight up the hill in Van Wijk St., go straight at the small traffic circle, and La Roca is about 100m on your right.
