Accommodation at Kololo Game Reserve
Accommodation features upmarket villas and chalets, positioned in the pristine bushveld so privacy and relaxation is guaranteed. The restaurant and bar has two lookout decks providing unparalleled views of the bush. Mouth-watering dishes are served by the resident gourmet chef. In addition, there is a swimming pool, a resident game ranger offering guests both game drives and walks, babysitting services are available on request, ADSL/Internet access, airport transfers on request. Kololo welcomes people with impaired mobility: chalet Kudu is completely wheelchair friendly.
Kololo Game Reserve is situated in Limpopo, the northernmost province of South Africa, in the heart of the protected Waterberg nature area, close to the village of Vaalwater. From Vaalwater it is another 36 km drive of which 29 km on an untarred road. From Oliver Tambo International Airport it is about 3,5 hours’ drive.
The reserve
The reserve covers 3,000 hectares and is malaria-free and child-friendly. It owes its name to the Kololo, the Sotho name for Klipspringer, a small antelope species. We carry the Kololo with pride in our logo. The reserve offers a wide variety of nature and animals. Rocky hills, rivers, forests, and savannah are home to giraffe, kudu, impala, baboon, zebra, warthog, eland, birds (more than 300 species) and much more.
Kololo is fairly centrally placed in the Waterberg area, allowing visitors to explore a wide range of attractions on either day trips or short excursions. Our charming chalets are conveniently located near the restaurant and pool for easy access. Some units are nestled in the enchanting African bush, while others are surrounded by lush lawns and Seringa trees. Chalets features a lovely veranda or terrace.
Our two-bedroom chalets are perfect for a family of four or a group of four adults, providing an ideal accommodation option. Enjoy a magnificent view of Kololo and Welgevonden from the terrace, allowing you to soak in the beauty of the surroundings.
These villas are beautifully located at the outskirts of Kololo with wonderful views across the mountains of Grootfontein and Welgevonden and the Kololo plains, where game shows itself in abundance. Spacious outdoor terrace with heavenly views.
A spacious and luxurious, very private villa with a separate dining room and living room. Villa Kings has a private swimming pool. The terrace under the thatched roof offers great views across Kololo and Welgevonden.
Deposit policy
To confirm your booking a deposit of 100% of the total costs is required within 30 days from the arrival date.
Payment is to be made in full no later than 30 calendar days prior to arrival.
Bookings made within 30 days of arrival or less will only be confirmed on 100% of the balance received.
Failure to comply with this payment obligation will result in the cancellation of the booking and the forfeiture of all amounts already paid.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation more than 30 days before the date of arrival will result in the cancellation of your booking and the forfeiture of any amounts already paid including the deposit.
Cancellation of less than 30 calendar days before arrival will result in the cancellation of your booking and the forfeiture of any amounts already paid including the deposit. You will, however, remain liable for the full amount of the booking.
Rates are per person per night sharing*.

* We charge R 320.00,- a conservation levy per person per night.
Children aged 0 to 2 years: Free of charge if they stay in a cot - Meals and Big 5 Safari’s not included.
Children aged 3 to 12 years: 75% of adult sharing rate - Child meals (Half-portion of adult meals) R175 surcharge per child for the regular menu.
Children aged 13 years and older: 100% of adult sharing rate.
Children rates include 2X 3-hour Big 5 Safari per night stay (applicable to children aged 3 - 12 years).

• Reservations made less than 30 days before arrival will require full payment within 48 hours.

* All bank charges are to be covered by the guest, agent or operator. If a refund is paid by Kololo Game Reserve then the bank charges for the refund will be deducted from the refund payment.
* Incorrect quotes or charges to the guest will be covered by the booking agent or operator.

* Children on Big 5 Safaris: The timing of the drives and the option to include children under the age of 4 on the drives are at the discretion of the guide.

Cancellation Policy:
• 30 days and less 100% is forfeited.
• No shows: 100% cancellation fees
• No refund will be given for guests who arrive but leave before completion.
• 3% of the Total Deposit/Payment should a refund be required as an admin fee.

Take the R21 north to Pretoria(Tswane). Closer to Pretoria turn off from the R21 onto the N1 and continue north past Pretoria direction Pietersburg(Polokwane).
Turn left on the R33 to Nylstroom (Modimolle) at the Kranskop toll gate. Go through Nylstroom and through Vaalwater(Mabatlane) (Do not turn right on R33 to Ellisras in Vaalwater - continue straight to Bulgeriver/Thabazimbi) and 8km after Vaalwater turn left on the Bakkerspas road (there is a sign to Kololo).
Drive 29 km on a dirt road and find Kololo’s gate on your right. Total distance from Airport to Kololo about 280 km.
Children of all ages are welcome at Kololo Game Reserve
