Hazyview Country Cottages is a converted tobacco barn which has been lovingly restored and upgraded, while retaining the rustic country feel.
Hazyview Country Cottages used to be a very productive Tobacco Barn but once the owners stopped cultivating Tobacco, it became very neglected - a useless White Elephant. The new owner. Tienie Snyman lovingly restored and refurbished the old barn, until it became the delightfully artistic set of self catering cottages that it is today, now known affectionately as “The Smart Old Barn”.
Tienie specialises in providing comfortable and affordable accommodation for travellers to Hazyview, couples on holiday requiring a homely base from which to explore, as well as church groups and schools groups.
The interiors were all done by Ronelle, the boss wife, are really charming, very artistic, unique, and out of Africa - confirmed by many satisfied guests from all over the world.
Then we have our jungle shower which is a must for everyone after a day of relaxing or traveling.
You can pick and choose from the following :

- 3 bedroom cottage ,with private swimming pool nice big veranda and braai area. 2.5 bathrooms dining room kitchen lounge. Sleep 6 to 8 guests.
- 2 Bedrooms Duplex cottage , with 2 bathrooms (one en suite ) sleep 5 to 6 guests.
- 1 Bedroom cottage sleep 2 to 4 guests.
Although most of the smaller towns in this part of Mpumalanga are close to the Kruger National Park, Hazyview is the closest, just a short hop to the Phabeni, Numbi and Kruger Gates. It’s a pretty little town with some lovely guesthouses on the outskirts, and a couple of good restaurants.
If you are not the sort who likes to keep your feet on the ground, you could go for a microlight flip, a scenic helicopter flight or even ride in a hot air balloon. There are fun mountain biking trails, which you could do as an escorted trip, if you wish, horse trails, kloofing trips or paddling on the Sabie River, abseiling and, of course, escorted safaris into Kruger National Park.
For something a bit more cultural, you could tour a Shangaan village or a coffee plantation and roastery.
