Sesfontein is situated in the north western part of Namibia, close to the Hoanib river, on the southern side of Kaokoveld.
Today, almost 100 years after the original establishment of the Sesfontein Station, the fort has acquired a second lease of life after being tastefully restored as a comfortable Iodge for tourists on individual holidays.
The fort offers comfortable double- bed rooms and suites with bathshower, bidet and toilet. All rooms are arranged around the centrat court which has been trans-formed into a unique oasis-garden by plantation of old paim tree stock.
Use of building materials characteristic of the region, such as clay walls, stone floors and reed linings convey a very special and original atmosphere.
The visitor can also expect the most modern facilities as the standard of the bathrooms, supply of warm water from solar cells, mosquito net for the four-poster bed, and the fitted ceiling fan can testify.
The former officers mess has been refurbished as a restaurant with integrated lounge and bar. The very spacious Swimming-pool offers the guest opportunity for refreshment and exercise.
