Elephant Plains Game Lodge is situated in the 65,000 hectare Sabi Sand Wildtuin, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
The lodge is situated on the dry Manyeleti riverbed and overlooks a permanent waterhole. Here you can see Africa`s Big Five, as well as other more rare predators such as the cheetah and wild dog. Also a wide variety of birds, reptiles and mammals.
The Lodge:
The main lodge houses the reception, dining room, bar/lounge, wine cellar, library and curio shop. The lodge layout caters for the discerning traveler, offering different types of accommodation to cater for a variety of needs.
The bar is an ideal place to relax and share experiences. Mealtimes are mouth-watering events complemented by carefully selected wines from the Lodge`s well-stocked cellar.
Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style in the dining room and evening meals are served around a fire in the boma. Each meal is prepared with exquisite care and this combined with the open-air setting, promise an unforgettable dining experience.
Adjacent to the swimming pool, the wooden deck offers spectacular views overlooking the waterhole and scenic plain.
Accommodation at Elephant Plains Game Lodge:
Five rondavels are set in the beautifully landscaped garden of the original family camp. Six luxury and one honeymoon suites comprise of a lounge area, indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck. The honeymoon suite has its own plunge pool.

*Elephant Plains Game Lodge is situated on the dry Manyeleti riverbed, overlooking an open area with a watering hole. Our African wildlife camera, which gives website visitors a live view of possible Big 5 sightings, is located in the big Jackalberry tree, facing the watering hole.

*Guests are able to choose between five rondavels, seven luxury suites and The Manyeleti, our romantic honeymoon suite.

Airports:
We have the airports of Eastgate (Hoedspruit), Skukuza and Nelspruit in close proximity with daily scheduled flights to/from Johannesburg.
Private airstrip - S24o44'38.9" E 31o28'30.5" and 1200m long.
By Car:
Take the N4 from JHB / Pretoria.
Bypass Witbank and Middelburg, continue onto Belfast.
Turn left onto the R540 past Dullstroom to Lydenburg.
From Lydenburg take the R36 to Origstad.
Pass through the JG Strijdom Tunnel.
From the tunnel continue for approx 27 km before turning right to go towards Klaserie.
Continue straight along the Klaserie road until you reach a sign pointing to Orpen & South African Activities College.
Turn left and continue on the R531 for about 30 km until you see the entrance to the South African Activities College on your left hand side . Immediately after the College you will see a small dirt track which you have to take right off the tar road.
Follow the map as indicated.
Arrival at the lodge should be scheduled between 12H00-14H00 to be in time for lunch as well as the afternoon game drive.
