This hidden gem is perfectly situated to give you clear views of the ocean, lagoon and forest hillsides. It is the perfect destination to get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and is ideal for guests requiring a wellness retreat. The endless stretches of golden beaches, immaculate and virtually untouched, offer peace and tranquillity. Be on the lookout for beautiful shells washed up on the sands, especially during early morning walks at low tide. The warm waters breaking on the shore are great for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Fishing from the beach and in the lagoon is a popular activity. Elysium Beach is the perfect setting for watching and participating in the annual Sardine Run. Whales and dolphins are often spotted in winter months, playing and feeding in the ocean.

For the nature enthusiast, there are several nature reserves with magnificent scenery, hiking trails, wildlife and adventure activities. All our cabins offer stunning sea views and are within walking distance from the beach. Each cabin has a private balcony from where you can enjoy panoramic views of Elysium and Mtwalume beaches, as well as the beautiful Mtwalume River and a beach lake. Cabins are situated on the beautiful resort grounds within easy reach of the main building where communal facilities are housed.

The Resort offers excellent facilities for corporate conferences, meetings and teambuilding events, as well as weddings, Walimahs, reunions, anniversaries and family get-togethers. The pool, sundecks, picnic grounds, braai facilities and kiddies playground are available for all guests to enjoy. The superb Halaal restaurant can seat 120 guests in total and provide scrumptious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is included in the accommodation prices. Please note no alcohol is sold on the premises; neither is it allowed within our main lodge.

If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.

Directions:

Driving direction from King Shaka International Airport: From M65, get onto N2 freeway heading towards Port Shepstone Drive +- 110 km and take exit 84 left toward Elysium / Ifafa Beach. At the bottom of the downramp, turn left towards Elysium and drive 350 m. Turn right and continue along Cowry Dr to the end +- 1.1 km (keep to the left where the road appears to fork). Turn left on Riversand Road +- 100m - entrance gates will be on the right.
