Wilderness is a seaside town on the Garden Route of the southern Cape in South Africa. It is situated a short distance east from the city of George, on the N2 down the Kaaiman’s River Pass. It is known for its long white sand beach and lagoons. The town caters mostly to holiday-makers and is situated directly on the Touw River Lagoon. The town experiences an extremely mild climate, typical of the Garden Route and has little temperature variation, seldom dropping below 10 °C and above 28 °C, with year-round rainfall. The flora type is Afromontane gallery forest. The Outeniqua Choo Tjoe steam train originally ran through the town en route between George and Knysna during its years of operation. Wilderness was the home of the former State President of South Africa, P.W. Botha, until his death in 2006.

The chalets are unassuming in their layout but offer the utmost in luxury with a choice of either a standard two-bedroom unit or the more spacious three-bedroom unit, which has two bathrooms and a loft.

Terms & Conditions for Individual Reservations:
1. All rates are quoted in ZAR and include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate.
2. Check-in is from 14h00 and check-out is by 10h00
3. Due to the Immigration Act no.19 of 2004, positive personal identification will be required to be presented upon check-in. A valid Passport or ID Document will be acceptable.
4. Rates are subject to change without prior notification.
5. Full pre-payment of the accommodation amount is required within 72 hours in order to secure your booking. Should a pre-payment not be received to secure the booking, the Resort has the right to cancel the booking on the day the payment was due.
6. A No-show fee equal to the stay will be charged for guaranteed reservations who do not adhere to the following cancellation policy:
(a). Cancellation - will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of the accommodation booked.
7. Guaranteed reservations which have been prepaid in full, will be held for first night only. Thereafter the accommodation will be released if not occupied.
8. Credit/Debit cards that are used to make the booking must be presented upon check-in at the Resort.
9. Legacy reserves the right to discontinue any promotion at their discretion.
