The White Penguin at 3b Pikkewyn Street is a beautifully designed two-story holiday home situated in an elevated position in the coastal town of Stilbaai (Still Bay) along South Africa’s famous Garden Route. The house offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for up to 4 guests, with children welcome from 6 years old. The lower floor features a very large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower, basin, toilet), king-size bed, electric heater, small oven, wardrobes, a large TV with Netflix, ceiling fan and direct garden access. The second bedroom has a double bed, a TV with Netflix, an electric heater and garden access. A second full bathroom (shower, basin, toilet) is located next to it. All windows have blackout blinds for restful sleep. The upper floor is home to a large, light-filled living room with many large windows offering beautiful views of the river and ocean. It includes an open, fully-equipped kitchen with a large fridge, oven/stove, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and French Press. The lounge area, dining table and bar island make it a wonderful space to spend time together. An indoor braai and a small braai on the cosy terrace with garden furniture complete the picture. A large TV with Netflix is also available upstairs. General amenities include fibre WiFi throughout, a hair dryer, water filtration system, bed linen and towels, beach equipment, covered parking and a garden with a tree house. Check-in is at 15h00, and check-out is between 10h00 and 11h00. Local management is provided by Colleen.

The little seaside village of Stilbaai or Still Bay lies just off the N2 between Mossel Bay and Riversdale on an estuary where the Goukou River meets the Indian Ocean. Stilbaai enjoys a pollution-free, safe and peaceful setting with long stretches of white sandy beach, a temperate climate and a river navigable for some 15 km. The village is thus very attractive to visitors seeking safe bathing, angling, wind surfing, kite surfing, sailing, canoeing and other pleasures on the water. To crown it all, Stilbaai is on the migratory whale route, which boasts the highest gathering of whales in the world between July and October every year.

Directions:

From Cape Town International Airport: 1. Head northeast on Ring Road for about 1.0 km. 2. Use the middle lane to stay on Ring Road for 300 m, then move to the right lane to stay on Ring Road for another 350 m. 3. Use the second lane from the right to turn slightly left toward Airport Approach Road (180 m), then merge onto it using the middle lane (190 m). 4. Stay on Airport Approach Road for 1.2 km, then use the left lane to merge onto the N2 ramp toward Somerset West (450 m). 5. Merge onto the N2 and settle in. You'll be on this road for about 296 km. 6. Look out for the R305 turn-off. Turn right onto it and follow the road for 25.8 km as you head toward the coast. 7. Turn right onto Main Road and drive for 3.0 km. 8. Turn left onto Sterretjie Avenue (500 m), then take another left onto Bosbok Avenue (87 m). 9. Turn right onto Pikkewyn Street and drive about 120 m. 3b Pikkewyn St, Still Bay West, will be on your right.
