Delicous breakfasts and home-made meals are served in the dining room and pub or, if you prefer and the weather allows it, outside on the veranda, or in the outside pub/braai area in the fresh country air.
Wake up in the morning to the sounds of the abundant bird life and take a walk in the grounds where you may be lucky enough to encounter some of the small wildlife at Watervale, such as Oribi and Duiker. A few Hamerkop families have also made Watervale their home.
The more energetic at heart can take a leisure 5 km walk up the valley, to take in the stunning views from the 850 m high crest whilst also enjoying the fascinating flora and fauna en route.
Accommodation at Watervale Lodge:
The comfortable en-suite rooms inside the Main Lodge and the outside en-suite rooms, as well as the log cabins with separate outdoor ablutions, carry the flavor of Africa, and are located in a quiet and beautiful African Setting.
Campers are welcome and can camp in the grassy areas close to the log cabins and ablutions or anywhere else on the 25 ha surrounding the Lodge, all of which are surrounded by an electric fence.
We have a variety of rooms, from backpacker dormitory that sleeps up to 10 / 15 people, our log cabins have 2 single beds and share ablutions. In our courtyard we host en suite bedrooms as well as a beautiful rondawel and family loft room that can sleep up to 6 people.

Leisurely walks, swimming, birdwatching, small game and animal farm. Nanny facilities available for children.
The route comprises, besides magical views and plenty of restaurants, Arts & Crafts shops, with plenty of African crafts, cultural, rural villages, a safari park, crocodile park, snake park and other general shops.
