Reservations & Occupancy: Our rooms are reserved per room, not for large group gatherings. Maximum occupancy per room applies and is strictly enforced. Only registered guests may stay overnight. Unregistered overnight guests will incur a surcharge of R500 or result in cancellation. No overnight visitors allowed unless listed during check-in and approved by management.
Check-In & Check-Out Check-in: From 2:00 PM Check-out: Strictly by 10:00 AM unless otherwise arranged with management.
Smoking Policy Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all rooms. A R500 fine will be charged for non-compliance. Please use designated smoking areas only.
Quiet Hours Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM (22h00). Guests are asked to start winding down by 9:30 PM (21h30) to ensure a peaceful environment. Visitors Visitors must be approved by management and are not allowed after 10:00 PM.
Gate remotes are issued per room and must not be shared. No tailgating is allowed. Keys & Gate Remotes Guests receive a set of keys and a gate remote upon check-in. Lost or damaged items will be charged at R400 per item.
Parking & Liability Use your assigned parking bay only. All vehicles are parked at your own risk. Villa Marais Guesthouse and its staff are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury.
Braai / Outdoor BBQ Use of the braai/BBQ area must be arranged in advance. Guests must provide their own wood or charcoal. We supply cutlery and crockery for your use. Braai area usage must begin winding down by 9:30 PM.
Load Shedding Emergency Light Each room is equipped with an emergency light for use during power outages. Please do not remove the light from the room.
Meals & Laundry: Lunchboxes must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Breakfast, lunch packs, and supper are also available — please discuss your requirements with management when confirming your booking.
An iron and ironing board are available upon request.
Lost & Found Forgotten items will be returned if requested. Postage and packaging fees apply.
Damage & Breakages Guests are responsible for any damage or missing items from their room or shared facilities. Additional charges may apply.
