Hartbeespoort is a South African resort town north of Johannesburg, which won the Kwela town of the year 2026. It’s known for the Hartbeespoort Dam and the whitewater rapids of the Crocodile River. Both are visible from the Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway, which ascends to the top of the Magaliesberg mountains. Outside of town, Miracle Waters is a spring-water dive site in a former chrome mine. Also nearby is the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre, a big-cat sanctuary.

* Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. This excludes the area inside the gated area where there are wild animals.
* No smoking is allowed inside any of the units or on the walking trails.

From Lanseria International Airport.
* Exit the airport and join the R512 towards Hartbeespoort/Brits.
* Continue on the R512 towards Hartbeespoort and follow the signs for the R513 towards Pretoria North/De Wildt.
* Turn onto the R513 towards Pretoria North.
* Continue along the R513 for approximately 10?15 km, passing the De Wildt area.
* Look out for De Wildt 4x4, which is a useful landmark on the R513.
* Turn at Plot 50 E, R513, De Wildt, Hartbeespoort.
* Follow the property signage to Umoya Private Retreat.
