Tshukudu Bush Lodge is the “Place of the Rhino”.
Tshukudu is one of those rare game lodges where perfection is a reality. With only 6 luxury chalets and 4 suites, Tshukudu offers a romantic and intimate experience at the foot of the Pilanesberg mountains, with expansive views of the Savannah Plains below. Relax in your open plan lounge and watch the game wander lazily through the bush, towards the waterhole located below the lodge. At night, after dinner, take a short walk back to your private chalet and watch the stars traverse the African sky. Tshukudu is unique and memorable, in every aspect.

On its undulating hills and everlasting open plains, you can get a glimpse of the `Big Five`, an abundance of animals and over 360 bird species.
When you visit, we ask that you leave all the trappings of city life behind - including your car. Guest vehicles can be parked in protected bays at Bakubung Bush Lodge - from where you`ll be transferred to Tshukudu at 14h00. Times are strict.
From there, you can entrust everything to us.
After high tea, guests are taken on a 3 hour game drive. Another game drive is available in the mornings, with the option of an escorted game walk.
All game activities are conducted by experienced field guides. Special interest trails can be arranged for our guests.
Please note that there are 132 steps to climb to the lodge.

Designed for guests seeking the ultimate safari escape, the Tshukudu Executive Suite offers the lodge’s most exclusive accommodation experience. This spacious suite features a private patio overlooking the surrounding bush, park, and nearby waterhole, complemented by the luxury of a private plunge pool for complete relaxation. Inside, guests can enjoy a separate bath and shower, a comfortable seating area with sleeper couch, a fireplace and espresso machine.
Nestled within the tranquil bushveld, the Tshwene Deluxe Suite offers an intimate retreat designed for relaxation and comfort. Each suite features a spacious bedroom with a separate bath and shower, luxurious bathrobes and premium amenities. A cosy seating area, fireplace, espresso machine and tea and coffee station create the perfect setting to unwind after a day on safari.
Full pre-payment of the accommodation amount is required in order to secure your booking. Should a pre-payment or guarantee not be received to secure the booking, the hotel has the right to cancel the booking within 48 hours of the arrival date.
Cancellation Policy per Booking:- Cancellations – for seven or less rooms – within 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to a full cancellation fee of the value of one night’s accommodation booked.- Cancellations – eight rooms or more – tour cancellation policy in 1 above will apply.- Guaranteed reservations which have prepaid in full or have alternative guarantees in place with extended payment facilities at the hotel, will be held for first night only, thereafter the accommodation will be released if not occupied.- Elephant Point and Bakubung Villas payment and cancellation information will be communicated at time of reservation.
Travel north along William Nicol Drive to the four-way intersection with Witkoppen Road.
Turn left into Witkoppen road towards Lanseria/Roodepoort.
Turn right at the intersection with Hans Strijdom Extension on the road towards Broederstroom and Lanseria.
Cross over the Muldersdrift/Diepsloot Road and continue with the R512 towards Broederstroom and Lanseria.
Cross the bridge over the R28 Krugersdorp/Pretoria highway, pass the Lanseria turnoff and continue straight ahead.
At the T-junction turn left on the R512 to Magaliesberg.
Continue on this road until you see the Sun City signboard on your left.
Turn right on the R512 to Brits and cross the bridge over Hartebeespoort Dam.
At the T-junction turn right on the R512 to Brits. Follow directional signs.
Continue to the four-way stop and turn left on the R512/27 for Brits/Rustenburg.
Pass the first Brits turnoff.
At the signpost R27 Rustenburg/Brits turn right.
On the bridge turn left towards Rustenburg.
Continue till you get to the slipway to the left. Take the slipway and continue on the new N4 highway.
A signboard on the left side of the road indicates Pilanesberg to the left on route 91.
Exit left off the highway.
At the T-junction turn right and continue on this road to Sun City.
Pass the Kwa Maritane signboard and Sun Village and turn right at the Bakubung and Tshukudu signpost.
Follow the road and it will lead you to the Bakubung Gate.
At Bakubung Reception, ask for Tshukudu Office.
The transfer to Tshukudu is at 14h00 from Bakubung.

Unfortunately no children under the age of 12 years are allowed at the Lodge. Children between the ages of 12 – 17 years, sharing with 1 or 2 adults will be charged a third person supplement rate on a Fully Inclusive basis.
