Tshukudu Private Game Reserve is situated in the Central Lowveld near the Blyderiver Canyon and adjoining the greater Kruger National Park near Hoedspruit.

Tshukudu, a Big 5 Game Reserve, boasts 5000 ha of unspoiled bush with a lovely view to the Drakensberg Mountains.

Game on Tshukudu
Tshukudu is a big 5 Game Reserve and the following animals can be spotted:
lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, white rhino, buffalo, eland, waterbuck, kudu, bushbuck, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, warthog, impala, steenbuck, duiker, porcupine, jackal, hyena, caracal, serval, civet, genet,
African wild cat, hippo, crocodile and many other species.

Not only do guests see all the big and small animals in their natural environment but they can interact with our orphaned animals and go for walks with some of them.

Self Catering Cottages
Accommodation is in 6 thatched cottages (some for 2 guests, others for families) with private bathrooms.
The camp contains a central indoor and outdoor eating area under thatched roofs as well as a cosy boma for your evening braai.

There is a big, fully equipped kitchen where you have your own fridge and cupboard. Our staff wash the dishes, assist you with the preparation of food, make fires, help with the braai and generally make you stay comfortable.

Sheets, towels and a limited amount of fire wood are provided. All you have to bring along is your food and drinks. Relax around the pool or watch the animals drink at the water hole from the viewing platform.
There is a wonderful playground to keep the children busy.

Educational Camps
The Bush Camp is ideal for school and youth groups to experience nature first hand.

Accommodation for the groups is on 2 large thatched platforms (dormitory style) with bunk beds and mattresses.
The platforms are fully mosquito proofed with ablutions downstairs. Teachers sleep in comfortable thatched cottages with private bathrooms.

There is a large eating area under a thatched roof, (also used for lectures) a cosy boma,
pool and big playground.

All courses are designed to help children to have a better understanding and appreciation of their school work,
by allowing them to actually experience the things they learn about at school. We make the experience exciting including game drives, walks and lectures as well as sports activities such as volley ball, swimming and bush rounders.

Very relaxing atmosphere and surroundings, excellent service and information from our guide, Richard who did everything to his ability to show us the Big 5!!! However, a fridge in the room will be awesome in the summer?

We enjoyed our stay very much. The service was great and we enjoyed the most the morning walks and late afternoon drives everyday. It is such great value for money! Thank you David for sharing your amazing knowledge of the bush with us. We have never experienced such an amazing encounter with the big five as we have at Tshukudu Bush Camp. We will for sure spread the news!
