The Tulbagh Boutique Heritage Hotel  -  Surrounded by breathtaking mountains and conveniently located in the centre of Tulbagh, this boutique heritage hotel features a restaurant, tapas and wine bar, spa, conference centre, private parking, and complimentary WiFi throughout.

Tulbagh is full of history and adventures to be had.

It is the fourth oldest town in South Africa, and features the oldest church. The town suffered a severe earthquake in 1969, and there are a number of interesting museums relating to the history of the town and the earthquake.

The fertile valley is surrounded by majestic mountains which are snow-clad in winter, with challenging mountain bike and hiking routes. For the less adventurous, there are easy walks or horse rides through orchards and vineyards, with award winning wine and olive tasting opportunities. In town, there are a number of coffee shops, restaurants, and art galleries to peruse.

The neighbouring town of Ceres has a 9 hole golf course and an adrenaline-pumping zip line adventure.

Directions:

From Cape Town via Wellington
-Take the N1, northbound, from Cape Town towards Paarl.
-Exit N1 at the (R44) Wellington "Agter Paarl/Klapmuts" off ramp. Turn
left at first junction towards Wellington.
-Continue on R44 towards Wellington. Straight ahead at 4 way stop,
-After about 5km's turn left at a set of traffic lights into
Distillery Road - this is a continuation of the R44.
-Continue on R44 towards Hermon, Ceres and Porterville.
-5 km after passing through Nuwe Kloof Pass turn left sign posted
Tulbagh.
-Continue until reaching a T-junction stop. Turn left into the main road - Van der Stel Street.
-The Tulbagh hotel is half way down on the righthand side, next to
Standard Bank.
Please note that the roads are all tarred from Cape Town.

From Cape Town via Malmesbury
-Take the N7, northbound, from Cape Town towards Malmesbury.
- Exit N7 at the Malmesbury off ramp to your left. Turn left at first
junction, heading into the town.
- Pass the large silos on your right, at traffic lights continue
straight ahead. At the next stop junction, turn right.
-This leads out of Malmesbury and you will pass the Swartland Cellars
on your right. Turn left at the R46 towards Hermon/Riebeeck Kasteel.
- Continue, passing Riebeeck-Kasteel. At the junction with the R44 at
Hermon, turn left.
- 5 km after passing through the Nuwe Kloof Pass turn left sign posted
Tulbagh.
- Continue until reaching a T-junction stop. Turn left into the main road - Van der Stel Street.
- The Tulbagh hotel is half way down on the righthand side, next to
Standard Bank.
