The Station Calitzdorp is nestled between the vines of the amazing De Krans Cellars and an actual krantz.
This unique venue offers the traveller an idyllic space to rest and then venture forth to explore colourful Calitzdorp.
We offer self-catering campsites with electricity, water, and braai areas, caravan stands, and spacious Safari-style permanent tents with hotel quality beds and crisp white linen – sharing modern ablution facilities. Here one also has the opportunity to overnight in a quaint, converted heritage ticket office.
The Station offers accommodation to suit all pockets. It has the facilities for hosting a variety of functions, weddings, weekend workshops, and birthday parties. Lounge in our licensed bar area whilst enjoying your favourite tipple.
The Station Calitzdorp offers lovely shady camping spots and tented units, which are situated next to a very impressive kranz, in between two well-known vineyards. Each stand offers power and water points, with access to communal ablutions facilities, a shared kitchen with a washing up section, kettle, gas hob, fridge, toaster, crockery, and cutlery.
Ticket Office 2, the permanent tents, and the camp stands include communal ablutions facilities. A communal kitchen is available for all guests.
In-Room facilities:
Each stand offers power and water points, with access to communal ablutions facilities, a shared kitchen with washing up section, kettle, gas hob, fridge, toaster, crockery and cutlery. For those who love camping without all the hassles, there are Safari-style permanent tents. Each tent has two hotel quality single beds that can be converted to a king-sized sleeping arrangement. Crisp white bed linen covers the beds and for those winter nights warm fluffy blankets. Bath towels are included in the stay. Each tent is provided with electricity and an electric warming blanket as an optional extra in the cold winter months. These units utilize the shared modern ablution facilities with hot water on the premises. A quaint, shared kitchen with fridge freezer, gas stove and kettle is available for our tent guests as well as braai facilities and grids.
