Set within the rolling hills of Mngcibe, on the North side of the Mdumbi River, Swell Eco Lodge offers catering or self-catering accommodation, ideal for couples, groups and families and invites guests to enjoy pure relaxation and fun while supporting a green way of life. Swell Eco Lodge offers exclusive accommodation with modern stylish interiors and traditional Xhosa exteriors. The lodge offers guests a choice of units that can accommodate between 2 to 6 people and meals can be arranged on request. Guests can book a sea view rondavel which is furnished with a king-size and a sofa bed and has a private bathroom with a gas-geyser shower. When booking this unit, guests must book their meals in advance and will share the use of the kitchen area located by the pool. Enjoying sea views, the 3 duplex chalets each consist of 2 private en-suite bedrooms that are rented separately or together and share a kitchen living area. When booking 1 of the rooms, guests will share the kitchen and living room with guests staying in the second room.
Accessed by stairs, the rooms have private entrances that open onto the deck and from here, guests have access to the central, open-plan kitchen which is fully equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, tea and coffee facilities and a dining area. Each of the rooms is furnished with a king-size bed that can split into twin beds, a double sleeper couch for children and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
Communal braai facilities are available for guests to use at each chalet.
The duplex luxury, family rondavels offers a lovely loft room, a smaller downstairs room, a bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and lounge. The rooms are furnished with king-size beds or twin beds, as well as a double sleeper couch for children. The loft room has a freestanding bath, and a shower with a gas geyser is available downstairs. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge, tea and coffee and a dining area. One of the rondavels also has a TV with DStv, and all units have spectacular sea views.
Please note, the lodge is off the beaten track and you will travel on a gravel road to get to the lodge. Guests do not need a 4x4 but a vehicle with higher clearance is recommended and smaller vehicles will have to take it very slow on the gravel. Guests are welcome to enquire about the road conditions before arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total. If cancelling 60 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the booking total. If cancelling 150 days before arrival, forfeit 10% of the booking total.
