Swartvlei Guest Farm offers self-catering guest accommodation cradled by farmland, forest, and the serene shores of Swartvlei Lake. This remarkable haven exudes a special magic throughout the seasons. Guests can choose between five thoughtfully curated stone cottages or rooms in the historic manor house, along with an exquisite function venue and an array of bespoke experiences. Each en-suite cottage features a luxurious and spacious bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, as well as a compact kitchenette equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. All cottages include quality bedding, towels, and thoughtful amenities such as hand wash, bath and shower gel, conditioning shampoo, a hairdryer, and a warm blanket. For comfort in every season, each unit is fitted with a fan. Inside, guests will find a flat-screen TV with Netflix and free Wi-Fi.
Outdoors, guests can make use of a BBQ/braai area for al fresco cooking and dining, or take advantage of the fully equipped communal farm kitchen, complete with a gas stove and electric oven, available exclusively to in-house guests. Secure parking is provided for all cottages. Our Manor House is a stunning double-story home with three en-suite bedrooms. Historic Manor House Room 1 has a king bed or 2 single beds on request with an en-suite tub/shower combo. Historic Manor House Room 2 and Historic Manor House Room 3 both have a king bed or single beds on request, and an additional single with an en-suite tub/shower combo Guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen that provides everything needed for self-catering, while the house features two dining rooms: the main Dynasty Dining Room, which seats 12 guests and includes a guest bathroom and gas fireplace, and the Trippi Dining Room, which accommodates 8 guests.

Please leave the clubhouse as you found it for the enjoyment of other guests. * Communal Farm Kitchen: Located by the tennis court with views of the swimming pool, the kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, wash bay, fridge, and freezer. As a self-catering property, guests are expected to wash up and clean after themselves. Located between George and Knysna, travelling on a corrugated dirt road for about 10km on the Garden Route and 490 km from Cape Town, Sedgefield is a beautiful seaside village surrounded entirely by lakes, dunes covered in fynbos, pine plantations, the Swartvlei Lake and the Indian Ocean. Described by some as a sleepy little village, Sedgefield borders the Goukamma Nature Reserve and the Wilderness National Park, leaving the visitor spoilt for choice when it comes to bird watching and walks through indigenous fauna and flora. Groenvlei Lake, the only freshwater lake in the district, lies to the east of Sedgefield and is popular for its Bass fishing. The lake forms part of the Goukamma Nature Reserve, which stretches from the river of the same name all the way to Buffalo Bay, and has some of the highest vegetated dunes in the country.
