Gariep Dam, SunRose Group of Guest Houses are self-catering establishments. Guesthouses are situated halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town and are a few km from the N1 highway. SunRose Group consists of 14 different units in the Gariep Dam Village. It is an ideal pit-stop for the weary guest simply wanting to break their journey to have a single night sleepover or for the guest wanting to spend some extra days enjoying what the beautiful Gariep Dam village and the surrounding area have to offer. SunRose is divided into multiple separate, fully equipped self-catering units. All units have either quality beds with white, quality linen and towels for comfort. Each unit is fitted with air-conditioning for those extra hot Karoo days, as well as heaters and indoor braai areas to snuggle up to on those chilly nights. Each unit has a TV with an Openview decoder. All units have charming lapas where you can simply enjoy the quiet peaceful surroundings or enjoy a lovely braai or picnic. Safe undercover parking is available on-site for vehicles and trailers. All units have access to the communal pool. There are plenty of fruit trees and all/any fruit on the trees are there for guests to enjoy picking. Soak up the crispy Karoo air, look up at the night sky and see billions of stars, identify the milky way, and watch the satellites pass overhead. Food for your soul!!

If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
We understand that plans sometimes change, however the SunRose Group of Guesthouses imposes the following policy regarding cancellations:
· Cancellations made on bookings not yet paid for, 48 hours or less before arrival date, would be subjected to full payment.
· Cancellations made on paid bookings, will result in the SunRose Group of Guesthouses issuing a voucher for the amount paid, valid for a period of three years.
· Regret NO refunds.
· A Refund due to cancellation of accommodation already paid because of Hospitalization, the SunRose Group of Guesthouses will require a Medical certificate before a cash refund will be considered else a 3-year free stay voucher will be provided.
· A Refund due to cancellation of accommodation already paid because of DEATH, The SunRose Group of Guesthouses will require a DEATH certificate before a cash refund will be considered else a 3-year free stay voucher will be provided.
· The Guest House complex closes at 21.00, late arrivals stand to lose their accommodation if no “late arrival” arrangements have been before hand.
