Sossusvlei Lodge accommodation:
The Superior Accommodation units at Sossusvlei Lodge feature a patio to enjoy views over the Desert landscapes, a spacious air-conditioned twin-bedded room and a full en-suite bathroom. The Standard Family Units feature two rooms back to back connected by a lockable inter-leading door between the two private bathrooms. An elegant Junior Suite boasts a spacious bedroom, living area, patio with a splash pool, large bathroom and inspiring views.

Superior Units:
The 44 individual Superior Units at Sossusvlei Lodge are uniquely designed to blend in perfectly with the natural surrounding environment.

Each of the Superior Units boasts a patio to enjoy the magnificent views over the Desert landscapes and ridges of the Naukluft Mountains.

The spacious air-conditioned bedroom features twin beds, comfortable corner couch, luggage racks, shelves, hanging space and an in-room safe and a complimentary turn-down service. In addition there is a refreshment area with a fridge and tea / coffee making facilities.

Each of the stylish en-suite bathrooms is equipped with a comfortable corner bathtub, spacious shower, toilet, double vanity and signature amenities.

Two of the Superior Rooms are designed to be handicapped and wheelchair friendly featuring no steps and are equipped with wider doors. Handles have been fitted in the bathroom and the shower has an open design for easier access.

One infant and/or child under 12 years can be accommodated free of charge in a Superior Unit shared with two full paying adults. This is subject to availability and payment of applicable meal rates. Please enquire with your booking to ensure preparations are made as required.

The interiors and dcor are the same as the Superior Units with fully air-conditioned twin-bedded bedrooms. In addition there is a corner couch, refreshment area with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, luggage rack, shelves, hanging space, in-room safe and a complimentary turn-down service.

What to pack:
Namibia Visitors Information

- You can expect hot, wet summers and cooler, dry winters in Namibia. Generally the days can be quite hot and the evenings and early mornings can be remarkably cool.
- Comfortable, lightweight clothing (cotton fabrics) for the daytime and a sweater or jacket for early mornings and evenings. Some neutral colour clothing is best if you will be undertaking game drives / excursions on your trip.
- Comfortable walking shoes and sandals.
- Protection against the sun - sunblock, hat, sunglasses, lip balm and moisturising lotion.
- Flashlight, binoculars and a good camera with extra film or memory card.
- For electrical small appliances or chargers a conversion plug to a three-pin type outlet.
- Swimsuit as most lodges and hotels have swimming pools.
- Insect repellent, rehydrating solutions or concentrates, diarrhoea medication, malaria prophylaxis (if traveling in malaria areas), bandages, etc.
- Traveller’s cheques in US dollars or South African Rands. American Express, MasterCard, DinersClub, Visa, Maestro cards are widely accepted. Some cash to buy souvenirs from street markets.
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months after date of entry) and Visa’s if required.

Cancellation Policy:

- We require your final rooming list by 45 days prior to arrival
- You can cancel rooms or groups up until 30 days prior to arrival without incurring penalties
- Should we not receive a cancellation by 30 days prior to arrival we will automatically confirm   the reservation and an invoice will be sent accordingly.

- Any cancellations for whatever reason within 30 days prior to arrival will incur penalties:
30 – 23 days prior = 10%
22 – 15 Days prior = 35%
14 – 7 Days prior = 50%
6 – 1 Days prior = 90%
No Show = 100%

- Our reservation office will follow up on all reservations 60 days prior to arrival.  It is however your responsibility to send your final rooming list by 45 days prior to arrival.
- We do not automatically cancel on 45 days or 30 days – your reservation remains your responsibility and confirmation on cancellation must please be communicated per email
- Note that provisional bookings is still a booking holding a room and is therefore treated on the same conditions as any other reservation in our system.
- In case of cancellation no refunds will be processed for reservations where a deposit or pre-payment was received – we shall however issue you with a N$ voucher valid for 2 years which you can use for any reservation as payment.
- The above terms can however be revoked at any time should our industry circumstances drastically change – any changes to the policy will however be communicated to you in advance.
- Kindly still cancel your reservations per email as per the above terms even if lock downs and travel bans are in effect – we do not always know the Nationality of your guests, refuse to assume that all bookings may be released, and still need a paper trail for all bookings made or cancelled.

Directions:

From Windhoek:
- Leave Windhoek via the B1 Western Bypass (Sam Nujoma Drive).
- Travel for 4,4 kilometres and turn left onto the B1 Rehoboth road.
- Travel for 5,5 kilometres down the B1 and turn right onto the C26 Namib Naukluft road at the T-junction.
- After 7,1 kilometres along the C26, the road surface changes from asphalt to gravel at a low bridge and maintains this surface for the duration of the trip
- Travel for 22,8 kilometres through the Amani Pass and turn left at the intersection (T-Junction), still following the C26 Solitaire/Walvis Bay via Gamsberg Pass road.
- Travel for 70,7 kilometres along the C26 and then turn left onto the D1261 at the Nauchas/Rehoboth intersection (T-Junction).
- Travel for 53 kilometres along the D1261 to Nauchas.
- Continuing on the D1261, turn right at the Spreetshoogte T-junction just down the road onto the D1275.
- The viewpoints at the top of the Spreetshoogte Pass are reached after 16,4 kilometres along the D1275. Exercise Extreme Caution On The Steep Sections Of The Pass
- A further 34,4 kilometres down the D1275 from the viewpoints at the top of the Spreetshoogte Pass, turn left onto the C14 at the Solitaire T-Junction.
- Travel 9,3 kilometres down the C14 to Solitaire and turn right at the C19/Sossusvlei intersection (T-Junction). There is a petrol station and it is recommended that you fill your vehicle up with petrol at this point.
- Continue on the C19 from Solitaire (turn out right from the garage road) for a further 71,3 kilometres.
- At the D826 Sossusvlei Lodge/Sesriem intersection (T-Junction), turn right and travel for 12 kilometres. The gate to Sossusvlei Lodge is on the right-hand side of the road.
