Soeterus Guest Farm offers relaxed country accommodation in the Klein Karoo, just outside Calitzdorp. Surrounded by open landscapes and wide skies, the farm provides a peaceful base for exploring the scenic Route Sixty Two region.
Accommodation includes three Standard Double Rooms with double beds, two Classic Twin Rooms with twin beds, one Deluxe King Room with a king-size bed that can be converted to twin beds on request, and one Comfort Family Room. The Comfort Family Room features twin beds that can be converted into a king-size bed on request, as well as a sofa bed suitable for one child.
All rooms are non-smoking and include air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, a desk, sitting area, safe, electric blanket and daily cleaning service at no additional cost. En-suite bathrooms offer a shower only, bathroom amenities, a hairdryer and towels. Each room also provides a bar fridge, coffee and tea-making facilities.
Guests can relax on a private patio with outdoor furniture and make use of the outdoor dining areas.
On-site facilities include Wi-Fi, free secure parking, a licensed bar and lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, BBQ/picnic area and a children’s play area. Irons and ironing boards are available on request. Please note that no pets are allowed. Check-in is from 15h00 to 20h00, and check-out is at 10h00.
Calitzdorp is a small town in the Klein Karoo region of the Western Cape, located on the scenic R62 tourist route between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. It is widely known as the Port Wine Capital of South Africa, with several renowned wine cellars producing award-winning ports, red, white and dessert wines. The town lies in the Gamka Valley, surrounded by rugged Karoo landscapes, vineyards and orchards, and features historical buildings in Victorian, Cape Dutch and Georgian styles. Local art galleries, craft shops and cafés can also be found around the town centre. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, cellar tours and culinary experiences, as well as outdoor activities including scenic drives, mountain passes, hiking, 4x4 trails, cycling, birdwatching and fruit picking in season.
