Nestled in the magnificant, secret Slanghoek Valley, on the slopes of the Badsberg, you will find the Slanghoek Mountain Resort, tucked away under the shades of beautiful century old oak trees, waiting those who love nature.
It offers spectacular views, an abundance of fynbos, and in winter the Slanghoek Valley reveals some of its secret beauty when its mountains are covered with snow.
This ideal breakaway offers 8 well appointed self catering chalets, each with en-suite bedrooms, 13 self-catering safari tents and 15 campsites.
The mountain resort is situated on a private wine farm where the visitor can experience various farm activities such as grape harvesting and vine clipping in season.
For the adventurous horse riding can be enjoyed under the leadership of an experienced rider.
Afterwards you can refresh yourself in the resorts swimming pool.
Mountain bike riders can explore the farm roads and even include some wine tasting at the 13 wine cellars situated within a radius of 10 km around the Mountain Resort.
The Resort is centrally situated for those who want to enjoy scenic drives to Boland towns such as Rawsonville, Worcester, Wolseley, Ceres and Tulbagh.
A fully equipped air conditioned facility is available and can accommodate up to 150 (cinema style) delegates. An ideal venue for private or business functions and a most romantic setting for a wedding ceremony.
Accommodation at Slanghoek Mountain Resort:
To accommodate you, we have self catering chalets and a tented camp as well as camping with own tent or caravan. This valley can be visited throughout the year as each season reveals its own secret beauty.
Shop:
There is a shop on resort which sells wood, ice, firelighters, coldrinks, sweets, chips, bread and other basics. Mon Thurs 08:00 18:00, Fri 08:00 20:00, Sat 08:00 17:00, Sun 08:00 13:00. Times may differ over long weekends and public holidays.
General:
We do host weddings and functions on our resort.
Music is allowed in the hall only till latest 24:00.
Unfortunately we do not do quad trips on the farm anymore. The use of fireworks is STRICTLTY PROHIBITED. No quads bikes or scramblers allowed on the farm. The responsibility of proper supervision over babies, toddlers and children rests on the person in whose care they enter the resort. All facilities on the resort are used at own risk, especially the swimming pools and trampolines. Enquiries about activities must be done one week in advance to ensure that they are available at that time. Slanghoek Mountain Resort does not accept responsibility for any injuries or damage which may be a result of utilizing the facilities or any other injuries or damage visitors may suffer at the resort. Visitors bring their belongings at own risk. The resort is not liable for the theft and loss thereof. Visitors are requested to honor the tranquility of the environment at all times and not to play music. After 23:00 there must be silence in the resort.

Visit the Karoo National Botanical Garden, KWV Brandy Cellar and Kleinplasie open air Farm Museum.
From Cape Town:
Take the N1 over Du Toitskloof Mountain. Just on the other side of the mountain, you turn right to Rawsonville ( R101 ).
At the first crossing that reads Slanghoek and Goudini Spa to the left, you turn left and drive for +/- 10 km, pass Slanghoek cellar and Opstal Estate.
The Resort is on your right. It will take 60 minutes from Cape Town to the Resort.
