Shepherds Tree Game Lodge is a lodge concession awarded by the North West Parks and Tourism Board within the existing Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The entire lodge lies in an exclusive use zone in the south-western portion of the 57,250ha, Big 5 and malaria free Reserve. The magnificent main lodge acts as a central gathering point and social environment for all guests as well as the point from which all the activities depart and return .
The featured architecture and interior design are the hallmark of the whole lodge, and flawless finishes leave no detail overlooked. The lodge offers commanding views of the distant bushveld amphitheatre and is superbly positioned adjacent to the Pilanesberg Game Reserves Wilderness Area, thus offering the opportunity of walking trails in this untouched environment. Guests can enjoy 2 game drives daily which are conducted in the Pilanesberg during the morning and evening when you are guided by your game ranger in an open 10 seater game viewing vehicle. The game drives will take between three and four hours, with a sundowners stop at sunset and a coffee stop in the morning.
Shepherd`s Tree Game Lodge is situated in the North West Province and is in a malaria free area close to Sun City and is approximately 2.5 hours drive from Johannesburg.

Shepherds Tree has included a dedicated state-of-the-art conference and functions centre among its facilities. Please enquire into the availability of all necessary equipment before concluding your conference or function planning.
The facility provides for several layouts and the classroom-type layout makes provision for at most 70 delegates.

The Executive Suites provide guests with an en-suite, as well as a double outdoor shower, and private patio with private heated pool. The suite also allows guests to relax in their private lounge with satellite TV.
2 Standard Suites that open onto a shared lounge allow for a spacious offering that can sleep up to 4 adults. The lounge and covered patio provide for a welcome retreat from the heat of the day. The lounge has a flat screen TV with DSTV.
The Standard Suite sleeps two adults features an en-suite bathroom as well as an outside shower, and a private patio overlooking the extensive game reserve. The Standard Rooms can also be combined into a Family Room which includes an additional two sleeper-couches. TVs are available in a Family Room option only.
The recommended route follows the N4 west before turning north onto the R556 while following the Pilanesberg signs. Continue past Sun City entrance and Bakubung Gate turn-off and proceed to the 4-way stop.
Turn right onto the R565 and proceed for 12 km to the Shepherds Tree Game Lodge entrance.
No children under the age of 12 years are permitted in the lodge.
