Rose Lodge & 22 on Rose are located in central Cape Town.

These 2 guesthouses are small and cosy. Each house can only accommodate maximum 6 people. They have recently been renovated and are located close to one another in the colourful historic Muslim Malay Quarter known in Cape Town as the Bo-Kaap, just below Signal Hill and The Noon Day Gun an authentic canon fired every day at midday! It is one of the oldest residential areas in the city. The area has its own unique old world charm.

Accommodation at Rose Lodge:
The rooms in these old Malay houses are not big but they all have en-suite bathrooms, TVs (no satellite TV), safes, clock-radios, and air-conditioning/heating. Coffee & tea facilities are available in the kitchens and free wifi in the communal areas. We provide a laundry service if required, can arrange your transfers or tours, and have complimentary cell phones if needed. We are a non-smoking guesthouse and are dog friendly. A substantial continental self-serve buffet breakfast is provided. Our fridges are stocked daily with fresh orange juice, milk, yogurt, 2 kinds of bread, muffins & eggs. Fresh fruit, three types of cereal, an assortment of jams, honey and tea as well as fresh and instant coffee are also available.

Whether on business or pleasure, its an ideal location from which to explore the city. The Bo-Kaap with its cobbled streets and houses painted in a myriad of rainbow colours is on your doorstep. We are a mere 5 minute walk to the downtown area, museums, shops and Greenmarket Square full of African artifacts and souvenirs. You dont even need a car as most things are within walking distance, or you can take the Hop on, Hop off bus which takes you everywhere you should go in Cape Town, even Table Mountain ! Taxis are also another option and they are very reasonably priced.
The fashionable and trendy De Waterkant Village is also just around the corner with its boutiques, & restaurants. And Cape Towns International Convention Centre and world famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront are also within walking distance or a short ride away.

We are fortunate in having some of Cape Towns finest restaurants just across the street at historic Heritage Square. Savoy Cabbage, Bouchon, The Headquarters, Africa Cafe, Simply Asia, Chefs Warehouse and Marcos African restaurant to name but a few are all within walking distance.
