Accommodation is offered in 10 units, each with a private entrance. Some units are furnished with either a king bed or 2 single beds. Some bigger units have an additional bunk bed, sofa bed or a single bed. The units feature an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, a toilet and a washbasin. The 6 sleeper unit has a bath as well as a shower. Each unit also has a kitchen/kitchenette equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, microwave, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Electric blankets and extra bedding are provided during the winter months, and air-conditioning is available in every unit. Each unit also includes a TV, free Wi-Fi access, linen, towels, and basic bathroom amenities.
Secure covered parking is available on the premises, along with 24-hour security, CCTV cameras, a generator, and a backup water system.
Guests are welcome to make use of the on-site facilities, which include 3 walking trails in the surrounding natural area, fishing spots, and birdwatching opportunities. Additional activities include cycling and swimming in the communal swimming pool, while children can enjoy the play area. Spa treatments are also available by prior arrangement.
Set on the far northern shore of the Vanderkloof Dam lies the little community of Vanderkloof, forming the eastern corner of a triangle with Hopetown (north) and Philipstown (south). The dam dominates everything, and from as early as the initial traffic circle on the edge of Vanderkloof, the walls of the dam are visible. This is where the massive Orange River, which also forms the boundary between the Northern Cape and the Orange Free State, flows into the dam. The Vanderkloof Dam is the second largest dam in South Africa with a wall that towers to 108 metres and a crest length of 765 metres. The Doornkloof Nature Reserve lies on the southern shores of the Vanderkloof Dam.
