Rawsonville House is situated in the heart of the Breedekloof wine valley. The area boasts numerous wine cellars to do some wine tasting, a few artisan beer brewers as well as locally made gin.
In close proximity are hiking trails, trout fishing in the Holsloot river, bird watching, sailing on the nearby Brandvlei and Quaggaskloof dams. 4 x 4 trails close by. Horse riding.
The Slanghoek valley offers spectacular scenery with fine restaurants and cellars along the way, all within 15 minutes` drive from Rawsonville House.
Rawsonville House, a beautiful Cape Dutch house, dates back to 1920. Situated on the edge of Rawsonville, the guest house offers warm hospitality in tranquil settings with a swimming pool, patio under the vines and a beautiful garden.
Accommodation offered comprises three double bedrooms with private bathrooms (two en-suite) as well as a self-catering cottage. All rooms are equipped with televisions and a selection of satellite channels.
Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the patio. Perfectly situated for wine tours, water sports, horse riding, bird watching and walks. Braai (BBQ) facilities are available on request. We also invite you to enjoy our garden and sparkling pool in summer.
Dias Room: Twin room with two single beds. Full bathroom adjacent in passage.
Africa Room: Sunny suite with double bed and en-suite bathroom. Accommodates two.
Pinotage Room: Our spacious main suite has a queen-sized bed and double en-suite bathroom. A single bed can be added to accommodate a third person.
Rosemary Cottage: Garden cottage with its own entrance; allows for self-catering. Sleeps two in a double bed. A sleeper couch can be added on request for a child or an adult not wanting to share the double bed.
