Would rate excellent if not for the fact that, the road between the lodges do not allow two cars to pass, resulting in one person having to reverse into the nearest parking space.

I would like to say that Raptors Lodge was excellent but unfortunately though the accommodation was excellent the situation was not. We all felt that there were to many units in the area as each unit was overlooked in many personal ways, eg our outside shower could be seen from the sitting room of another unit. To have a toilet next to the bed leaves a lot to be desired. We don't think the price for the unit was justified. We have stayed at much better places in South Africa. Having said that we really love Hoedspruit and will always come back but not to Raptors Lodge. As usual SA Places has done a good job with the booking and especially Chantelle.

Raptors Lodge is a lovely place to stay if one wants to be near all the town amenities yet have the feel of the bush. The rooms are well appointed and the aircon a welcome relief when the weather is so hot. We also love the fact the there was such a wonderful restaurant (Safari Club) within walking distance of the lodge. Though we were only there for one night Kim and Tanja were great at making sure we were happy. I would definitely book there again.
