Platjan Lodge is situated on the banks of the lovely Limpopo River, bordering Botswana, and very close to the Platjan border crossing.

Platjan is the ideal first night resting haven for tired travellers returning from a rugged Botswana Safari. But even Hunters, Backpackers, Birdwatchers, Fishermen and Businessmen are finding Platjan a very welcome break-away destination. We are a hotspot for birdwatchers boasting kingfishers, the fish eagle and the very rare Pels fish owl, and occasionaly the ground hornbill.

Platjan Lodge Accommodation:
We have 4 different types of accommodation facilities, and we are sure there will be something to your taste. En-suite bathrooms, updated furnishings, cozy stoep and braai area.

We serve 3 a-la-carte meals a day. Set menu’s for special occasions. If you have a special request please make arrangements prior to arrival. The bar is right next to the restaurant in the main building. Definitely the place to be to watch a Rugby match. The atmosphere and some drinks will make you come back again. Good service, good prices, and good company.
