Hermanus is a picturesque coastal town nestled along Walker Bay in the Overberg region of the Western Cape. It is world-renowned for its land-based whale-watching - especially between June and December - when southern right whales come close to the cliffs, offering spectacular viewing from the shore. From Cape Town International Airport 1. Leave the airport and get onto the N2 (toward Somerset West). - Follow Ring Road around the airport. - Follow signs for Airport Approach Road. - Merge onto Airport Approach Road. - Take the ramp onto the N2 toward Somerset West. 2. Stay on the N2 for about 70 km. - Keep following signs for Hermanus / R43. - Take Exit 90 for R43 / Hermanus / Kleinmond. 3. Follow the R43 to Hermanus (about 29 km). - Stay on R43 all the way into Hermanus. - At the first roundabout in town, take the 1st exit onto Royal Street. - Turn right onto College Street. - Turn left onto High Street.
