Otavi Vineyards Self-catering & Camping is located in the picturesque Otavi Valley escarpment and within 15 km from central Otavi, in the Otjozondjupa region of Namibia. This hidden solar-powered gem offers stunning vistas and a seamless blend of craftsmanship and beauty.
Just 13 km east of Otavi on the B8 road towards Grootfontein, this oasis provides a cosy and welcoming haven for travellers seeking refreshment. This small and intimate retreat invites guests to reconnect with nature and savour the bounties of the earth through its unique wines that reflect the warm, arid climate of northern Namibia.
Accommodation comprises 2 cottages, 1 chalet and camping accommodation, all family-friendly options. The Double/Twin Cottage is a studio-style cottage looking to the west of the valley and comprises open-plan living with 2 three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. This unit features a well-equipped kitchenette with a gas stove, a verandah overlooking the vineyards, and a built-in BBQ/braai area. The Two-Bedroom Family Cottage and the Two-Bedroom Family Chalet are homely, farm-style cottages looking to the south and comprise 2 bedrooms with 2 three-quarter beds in each and a private bathroom. Each unit features an open-plan, well-equipped kitchenette with a gas stove and a dining table. Each unit features vineyard views and a built-in BBQ area.
We have five campsites nestled in between trees and overlooking the vineyard. There are two shared ablution blocks to refresh yourself, and each consists of showers, toilets, and a communal washing area. Each Campsite is equipped with a raised BBQ/fireplace area, lights and an electricity point, an undercover dining area and a scullery area.
Firewood is available at reception to purchase. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the cellar/main building.
Otavi Vineyard Self-Catering Accommodation and Campsite is conservation-conscious, and the old buildings were revamped for a rustic, homely atmosphere with a touch of art, enhancing the natural setting among trees and shrubs. All Electricity is from our solar system, and our water is fresh from the borehole and is fit for human consumption.
Visitors can indulge in the storytelling of these wines, which embody a blend of sweat and fruitiness from the vineyard.
