Olaf’s Guest House is a well established guest house in Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa. Located between Main and Beach Rd. Charming accommodation, comforts and attention to detail are surpassed only by the personal service from your host Raymond.
All nine luxury en-suite rooms, all of which are stylishly designed, offer twin beds that can be converted into king-size beds or queen-size beds and elegant en-suite bathrooms. Wi-Fi, TV with DStv satellite channels, a telephone, radio-alarm-clock safe, hairdryers, European plug points, and tea and coffee stations are in every room. All rooms upstairs have fans and air-conditioning and showers and bathtubs. All rooms also have heaters to keep the winter at bay. For relaxation, guests may swim in our plunge pool, recline on the surrounding patios, or sit in the cool of the garden area. As an alternative stroll a few hundred metres down to Sea Point promenade for a bracing walk or jog along the seafront.
Still, maybe one would be more tempted in the early evening to sit on the terrace of the hotel overlooking the sea and enjoy an exciting sun-downer as you watch the sunset over the ocean.

Ideally located in beautiful Sea Point, Olaf’s Guest House is only 10 minutes from Cape Town’s city centre. It includes the trendy Long- and Kloof Street with its restaurants and cafes, the V&A Waterfront, Camps Bay, and the famous Table Mountain. Sea Point, a seaside suburb of Cape Town, sits along the Atlantic Ocean and provides guests at Olaf’s the perfect opportunity to stroll along the beachfront Promenade and take in the ocean air. Cafés and shops are within walking distance, and our bed and breakfast is a 30 – 45-minute drive from almost all activities, scenic routes and mountain trails, golf courses, and the beautiful winelands of Stellenbosch. It is but a few minutes to the famous V&A Waterfront from where the ferry leaves for historical Robben Island plus De Waterkant, The Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), The Colourful Cape Quarter, Kirstenbosch Gardens and of course Table Mountain are within easy access as are the beautiful beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and Sandy Bay. For the golfer Cape Town offers a wide selection of courses right up to the highest international standard. The major motorways are quickly accessible so that day trips to the Cape Winelands, Cape Point and even Hermanus can be easily made.

Late Arrivals and late check-ins:
* As our check-in times are from 14h00 to 18h00.
* Rooms that are not occupied by 18h00 will be a NO SHOW, and will be released for the system, unless prior arrangement has been made.
* Guest arriving after 20h00 and don’t have their own transport booked, please make use of our shuttle service, the driver brings the guests all the way to their rooms that they have booked. We will then need your flight details and arrival time to book the shuttle
* Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost of R300.00 for 1 person inclusive of VAT one way.
* Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost of R340.00 for 2 people inclusive of VAT one way.
* Airport transfers can be arranged at an additional cost of R400.00 for 3 people inclusive of VAT one way.
* Our office closes at 20:00 at the latest - unless prior arrangement has been made.
* You do not have to pay the driver this gets added to your room account.
Late arrivals:
* Late arrival with own transport is charged R250.00 for arrivals after 20.00 and before check-in 21h00 on check-in day.
* After 21h00 till midnight and beyond arrivals charged at R350 per check-in. This is for the staff to get home safely after hours as there are no buses or trains running at this time of the night.
Airport shuttle:
* When coming without a car or late at night please have the car delivered the next morning to make life easier for both parties.
* The driver will have a board with your name on it at the exit of customs, please keep a lookout for him. You do not have to pay the driver this will be added to your room invoice at the end of your stay.
* The driver has a code for the front gate of the house and knows where to find the room keys, he will take you all the way to your room on arrival at the Guest House.
Room Keys:
* The yellow key is for the property gate, it only unlocks the gate when turned anticlockwise so “to the left”.
* The green key is for the security gate in front of the house door, the house door and your room door. A safe key is also on the keyring, but you can also enter a 4 digit code for the safe if preferred.
* R1500,- will be deducted from the credit card, if the room keys (KABU) are lost or not returned upon departure.
From Cape Town International Airport: - Exit the airport and get on the N2 towards Cape Town. - Stay on the N2 all the way until you enter Cape Town. - Go over the first traffic light. You will now have the Convention Centre on your left hand side. - Turn right at the next traffic light. - This is Helen Suzman Blvd and there is also a sign saying Sea Point. - Stay on Helen Suzman Blvd until you reach a traffic circle. - Enter the traffic circle and exit at the opposite side. - You are now on Western Boulevard. Stay on the Western Boulevard and it will become Beach Road. - Stay on Beach Road until you see a big green and white Hotel, the Winchester Mansions Hotel on your left hand side. - Turn left just after the Hotel. This is Hall Road. - Turn left again into Wisbeach Road. - We are number 24 on your right hand side half way up the road. - The name Olaf’s Guest House and the number 24 are both on our wall.
