The name Nukakamma is the name given to the Sunday River by the indigenous Xhosa people literally meaning Grassy waters. The name refers to the banks of the river that are always green, despite the arid terrain it runs through.

Nukakamma Guesthouse consists of 2 x bed and breakfast rooms in the main house as well as 1 x 2 bedroom self-catering cottage on the same premises.
Two bedroomed apartment is tastefully decorated. Each bedroom has an option of either one king-sized bed or twin single beds, covered in high quality linen. Bathroom has a bath only.
