On a vast plain, surrounded by mountains boulders, and not far from the star-shaped dunes of Sossusvlei, lies Namib Naukluft Lodge. The best spot to experience the living desert is on this 13 000 hectare farm, which hosts the upmarket Namib Naukluft Lodge. A stunning scenery invites you to walks and nature drives.
Enjoy your stay in unexpected comfort and friendly hospitality
During the days, when not taking our tour to Sossusvlei, you can take an easy walk in the absolute solitude of the world's oldest desert. An early morning rise enables you to enjoy the ever changing pastell colours of the beautiful scenery.
Use the morning hours for an easy climb to the top of one of the adjacent granite hills or a walk in the vicinity. Explore the diverse flora and fauna, where the trees grow seemingly out of stones.
If you are feeling lazy, relax at the pool. As welcoming as the desert is forbidding, Namib Naukluft Lodge is a tranquil oasis where the emphasis is placed on excellent service and your personal comfort.
Later during the day, you might want to join a sundowner-drive to the natural marble mountains of this 13 000 ha farm.
In the evenings you may want to relax in the lounge and bar or enjoy a great meal in our comfy open-air restaurant. The added attraction is a stunning view of the fiery desert sunset.
Each of the 16 tastefully furnished rooms offer ensuite facilities and a private spacious verandah with a striking view.
Relax in the lounge and enjoy a typical sundowner on the main verandah or at the bar.
Excellent traditional meals are served in the restaurant, the adjacent verandah or in the boma from the open fire.

Namib Naukluft really is an excellent place to spend one or more nights. The owner is a very nice and helpful guy. Unfortunately we were unable to take the Sossusvlei Ride they organised. Therefor we cannot be a judge on that but it most definitely seemed very interesting !

Really liked the lodge, the location, room, staff, dinner, etc. The only reason we did not rate it as excellent, is the breakfast room and the breakfast. I feel the breakfast room lacks any atmosphere and the breakfast is quite simply poor. The only establishment we visisted that did not offer a cooked breakfast, with little effort, could do better. But otherwise, we would most definitely stay there again.

I think that the lodge is in a very beautiful and relaxing place and that all the staff is very professional and available. Moreover, they're very good cooks!
