The gem of Meadow Lane has got to be the beautiful dam, home to ducks, moorhens and an array of bird life. Catch and release fishing in the bass dams is welcome.

Love Cottage - 2 to 4 sleeper, 1 bedroom, 2 double sleeper couches
This new, standalone cottage is ideal for couples or a couple with 2 children. The cottage offers 1 spacious bedroom with queen bed and electric blanket. There is a cosy, private veranda off the bedroom for couples to enjoy. The en-suite bathroom has a large corner bath as well as a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with an open plan living and dining room that opens onto a deck with a braai facility. The lounge offers 2 double sleeper couches. There is a television with DVD player in the bedroom and we have over 600 DVDs for hire at the reception. We do not have SABC or DSTV channels.
Faith Cottage - 4 sleeper, 2 bedrooms
Bedroom 1 has a double bed and bedroom 2 has 2 single beds all with bed linen and electric blankets. The bathroom has a shower. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan with a romantic log fireplace. A complimentary box of firewood will be waiting for you to enjoy the cosy fire. There is a television with DVD player and we have over 600 DVDs for hire at the reception. We do not have SABC or DSTV channels. The kitchen has a microwave, stove/oven, fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. Enjoy a braai on the veranda overlooking the dam.
Hope Cottage - 4 sleeper, 2 bedrooms
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom has 2 single beds all with electric blankets. The bathroom has a shower. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open plan. There is a television with DVD player and we have over 600 DVDs for hire at the reception. We do not have SABC or DSTV channels. The kitchen has a microwave, stove/oven, fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. Enjoy a braai on the veranda with the dam in your sights.
Grace cottage - 6 sleeper, 1 bedroom, 1 loft
This thatch cottage offers 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 4 single beds in the loft with a proper stair case. All with electric blankets. The spacious bathroom has a shower. It is an open plan living and dining room with romantic log fireplace. There is a television with DVD player and we have over 600 DVDs for hire at the reception. We do not have SABC or DSTV channels. The kitchen has a microwave, stove, fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. The outside veranda is great for braais and a beautiful view over the property.
Joy Cottage - 2 sleeper studio cottage
This small but cosy cottage has a double bed with electric blanket. The bathroom has a shower. The kitchenette is open onto the eating area. The kitchen has a microwave, gas stove/oven, fridge/freezer and an excellent supply of crockery and cooking utensils. There is a television with DVD player and we have over 600 DVDs for hire at the reception. We do not have SABC or DSTV channels. A braai on the veranda is a must.

Coming from Durban
- Take the N3 past Pietermaritzburg towards Howick
- Just before Howick take the off ramp to the left marked Underberg / Bulwer R617
- Follow the signs all the way to Underberg (approximately) 110 kms
- Go through the town of Underberg still on the R617 Kokstad Road
- 4 km outside Underberg turn right at the sign to Drakensberg Gardens Resort
- Drive 3.7 kms along the Drakensberg Gardens Road and turn right at the Meadow Lane Country Cottages board
- Follow the signs for 800 m until you reach Meadow Lane Country Cottages
- Follow signs boards to your cottage
Coming from Johannesburg
- On the N3 coming past Howick, take the exit marked Underberg/Howick South
- Turn right and drive under the bridge and carry on straight on the Underberg/Bulwer Road R617
- Follow the signs all the way to Underberg for (approximately) 110 kms
- Go through the town of Underberg still on the R617 Kokstad Road
- 4 km outside Underberg turn right at the sign to Drakensberg Gardens Resort
- Drive 3.7 kms along the Drakensberg Gardens Road and turn right at the Meadow Lane Country Cottages board
- Follow the signs for 800 m until you reach Meadow Lane Country Cottages
- Follow signs boards to your cottage
Coming from Kokstad
- When you reach Kokstad follow the sign through Kokstad to the R617
- Continue on that road for 42 kms and then turn right towards Underberg
- Stay on the R617 for another 60 km
- As you near Underberg you will cross over the Umzimkulu bridge and you must turn immediately left at the Drakensberg Gardens Resort sign
- You are now on the Drakensberg Gardens Road
- Drive 3.7 kms along the Drakensberg Gardens Road and turn right at the Meadow Lane Country Cottages board
- Follow the signs for 800 m until you reach Meadow Lane Country Cottages
- Follow signs boards to your cottage
