Marula Lodge is a Guesthouse with
a beautiful large garden that invites you to relax and enjoy. It is situated in
the historical town of Swellendam and is within walking distance of various
fine restaurants offering a wide variety of cuisine.
We offer comfortable accommodation, a sparkling saltwater pool with stunning mountain views and serve a sumptuous breakfast on the garden terrace.
Stay a while - you may not be able to take in all that Swellendam and its beautiful surrounding areas can offer in merely one day. Swellendam offers many activities and excursions such as beautiful mountain trails in Marloth Nature Reserve, hiking trails and game viewing in Bontebok National Park, Golf course, mountain bike tails, Drostdy Museum and many more. It can be used as the central point to visit surrounding areas, each one unique in its own right.
We will gladly help to organise your tour and day trips, which may include wine tasting at Robertson Wine Valley, a boat trip on the Breede River with picnic on the boat, a day trip to De Hoop Nature Reserve and/or to Cape Agulhas, the most southern point of Africa.

Accommodation at Marula Lodge:
We offer 7 rooms, all equipped with tea and coffee facilities, television, fan, hairdryer, toiletries, safe.
The rooms Marula Standard and Classic are situated in the main house.
Marula Garden is situated in an extra building in the garden with own entrance, patio and garden/mountain view.
Marula Family is ideal for a family or group of 3 to 4 people. All children older than 5 are welcome.
A comfortable stylish lovingly decorated room with en-suite bathroom. King size bed. Marula Classic is situated in the main building and has access to the swimming pool and garden.
If cancelled:
- 0 to 14 days prior to arrival or no-show 100% of the total stay will be charged;
-15 to 30 days prior to arrival 50% of the total stay will be charged;
-31+ days prior to arrival 15% of the total stay will be charged.
