Wildlife
The resort’s biggest attraction is its easy access to Pilanesberg National Park, one of the best places to go on a safari in South Africa. Various species of flora and fauna reside here, from lions and leopards to the interesting Kiwano fruit. But it doesn’t stop there. A number of facilities and services heresuch as pool and playgroundsprove that there’s so much more to Manyane Resort than just seeing the Big 5.

An abundance of wild life proliferate in 580 km of diverse and arresting bushveld terrain. The park is home to healthy populations of lion, leopard, black and white rhino, elephant and buffalo - Africa’s “Big Five”.

A wide variety of rare and common species exist with endemic species like the nocturnal brown hyena, the fleet-footed cheetah, the majestic sable, as well as giraffe, zebra, hippo and crocodile, to mention but a few.

Convenient Safari Experience:
Pilanesberg National Park is right next to the resort, which means easy access to the exotic sights and sounds that the park has to offer. No need to travel far from the comforts of your Chalet, Tent, or Caravan to experience the exciting adventures of the safari.

If you want to explore sights beyond the national park, you can easily head to the nearest tourist hotpots in the area. Go for an exciting night out at Sun City or a day trip to Rustenberg’s historic churches and museum.

Accommodation at Manyane Resort:
Please Note a minimum stay of 2 nights is required over weekends.

Guests have several types of accommodation in Pilanesberg to choose from. For starters, they can stay at one of our Chalets, which are designed as proper brick-and-wood cottages that can house 2 to 4 guests. These boast of air-conditioning, refrigerator, private patio, TV, kitchenette, and more.

Those who want to strike the balance between a more authentic experience and comfort at our resort can choose a Safari Tent. Suitable for 2 guests, these are equipped with amenities such as electricity, refrigerator, coffee and tea-making facilities, and proper beds to sleep in.

Meanwhile, those who want to get closer to the wild outdoors can book one of our Caravan Sites or Campsites. These sites are an affordable option for those who are bringing their own tents or trailers inside the reserve. Regardless of type, all our accommodations in Pilanesberg have easy access to centrally located ablution facilities.

Manyane Resort does not offer self catering anymore, although accommodation is in self catering units. You can book on bed and breakfast and self cater for lunch and dinner.

Children Policy:
Children from 7 years will be regarded as adults and will be charged accordingly.
Children between 3 and 6 years stay at no charge and pay R85.00 per child for breakfast only or R195.00 per child for breakfast and dinner.

AREA INFORMATION
One of the best perks of staying at Manyane Resort in South Africa is the excellent location its right next to Pilanesberg National Park. To get here from Johannesburg, simply take the N4 towards Rustenburg and turn on the R556 heading to Sun City. Once you arrive at a 4-way stop, take the R510 towards Mogwase. Signs will then point the way to the Manyane Gate of Pilanesberg National Park, where the resort is located.

While Manyane Resorts location is great for those who want to enjoy a safari in Pilanesberg, it is also near the following tourist hotspots:

Sun Cityluxury development with casino, 2 golf courses, bars, and restaurants
Rustenburghome to some historic churches and a museum
Johannesburg is also less than 2 hours away from Manyane Resort in South Africa.

Health and Climate:
Manyane Resort making part of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve is a non malaria area.

* Day and Night Game Drives at Manyane Resort
Scheduled daily drives are available into the Pilanesberg National Park, which depart in the early mornings, afternoons and evenings. The objective of a night drive is to view the park's nocturnal wildlife.

* Hiking Trails
A general hiking trail where guests are exposed close-up, to the fauna and flora of the National Park by an experienced and accomplished guide. Minimum 6 people. No Children under 12 years of age.

* Game Drives & Bush Braai or Breakfast
Join us for a sunrise or sunset adventure for a bush braai or breakfast at a choice venue inside the park. Minimum 15 people

Cancellation 6 weeks or more prior to arrival date will be liable to administration handling fee of 25%.
Cancellation 4 weeks prior to arrival will be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee.

Directions:

Directions from Fourways, Sandton via Lanseria Airport
From Sandton travel north along William Nicol Drive to the four-way intersection with Witkoppen Road
Turn left into Witkoppen Road towards Lanseria/Roodepoort.
Turn right at the intersection with Hans Strijdom Extension on the road towards Broederstroom and Lanseria R512
Cross the bridge over the R28 Krugersdorp/Pretoria highway, pass the Lanseria turnoff and continue straight.
At the T-junction take the turn left on the R512 to Magaliesberg/Brits
Continue on this road until you see the Sun City sign board on your left.
Turn right onto the R512 to Brits and cross the bridge over Hartebeespoort Dam.
At the next T-junction turn right on the R512 to Brits. Follow the directional signs.
At the 4-way stop turn left to Rustenburg/Sun City.
At the signpost R27 Rustenburg/Brits turn right.
On the bridge turn left towards Rustenburg.
Continue to the slipway on the left, take slipway and continue on the N4 highway.
Now look out for the next turnoff to Sun City, Bapong and Majakaneng R556.
TAKE THIS TURN DO NOT PROCEED TO RUSTENBURG.
At the top of the off ramp turn right to Sun City/Bapong.
At the fourth 4-way stop turn right on the R510 (25km) to Mogwase.
Turn left at the sign posted Pilanesberg National Park.
At the second 4-way stop turn right to the Manyane Gate.

The Tents are clean and comfortable. Fridge in good working order. The only problem was the tap outside did not work for 3 days. It was reported but no explanation why.
