Magari Safari Lodge is situated on a private game reserve in the breathtakingly beautiful mountainous scenery of the Waterberg. This stylish, relaxed lodge is perfect for multi-generational family safaris or small groups of friends or couples looking to experience award-winning African hospitality and diverse wildlife experiences, many unique to Magari, in a malaria-free environment. Magari Safari Lodge can be booked on an Exclusive Use, private basis or on a Non-Exclusive Use, shared basis.
Magari Safari Lodge is beautifully appointed and has a boma in which to enjoy sitting around a campfire in the evening, a sunbathing terrace and a swimming pool with spectacular views.
Magari has luxurious en-suite bedrooms, with some rooms situated in the beautifully manicured gardens of the lodge.
Two of the garden rooms have outdoor decks with views of the valley and hills, as well as outdoor showers from which the incredible views can be admired, and 2 are situated further back in the garden with covered verandas on which to enjoy early morning coffee and watch the wildlife roam about. The bedroom situated in the main lodge is private and opens up onto a viewing deck overlooking the stunning Palala Valley. Wi-Fi is available in all the rooms.
Only children aged 6 years and older are accommodated.
Our check-in time is between 14h00 and 18h00; after 18h00, the reserve gates are closed. A later check-in can be facilitated up until 19h00, if previously arranged with management.

* The balance is required 60 days before arrival.
Cancellation charges are as follows
* 61-120 days before arrival, 25% cancellation fee
* 31-60 days before arrival, 50% cancellation fee
* 0-30 days before arrival 100% cancellation fee
*All cancellations must be received in writing.
Directions:
Take the N1 highway from Johannesburg /Pretoria.
Turn off at the Kranskop Toll Plaza to Nylstroom/Modimolle. (Far left off- ramp).
Once off the N1 and at the top of the off- ramp, turn left towards Modimolle/Nylstroom.
Go through Nylstroom/Modimolle and continue on towards Vaalwater (± 70km).
In Vaalwater, carry on until you get to the stop street where you turn right towards Melkriver.
Once you have left Vaalwater, continue straight on the Melkrivier road and travel for ± 46km, when you will come to a T-junction at the end of the road. Turn left at the T-junction and drive for ± 11km, after which you will see a Magari sign on your left. Turn left onto the dirt/gravel road and continue on to a green gate with a sign saying Magari. Someone will be waiting at the gate to open for you. Continue through the reserve, following the signs to Magari, for approximately 3km until you reach the lodge.
