Lowes Africa – Your Gateway to the African Bush Tucked away in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere, Lowes Africa offers an authentic yet comfortable bush experience on a 144-hectare wildlife property — home to giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, nyala, and even ostrich. Located just off a tar road for easy access (even with a regular car) and close to both Vaalwater, Marakele National Park, on route to the Botswana Border, our lodge is the perfect stopover or slow-down destination for adventurous travelers exploring Africa. Our accommodation combines traditional African exteriors — like rondavels and chalets with thatched roofs — with modern, stylish interiors while still retaining warm touches that celebrate African design. Guests can unwind by the pool, enjoy a chef-prepared breakfast or braai basket (on request), and find a spot in the garden to watch the sunset over the bushveld. The lodge area is fenced for peace of mind, but wildlife roams freely beyond — offering that thrilling connection to nature from a safe, serene base. With a background in professional hospitality and a passion for authentic African travel, we offer more than just a stay. At Lowes Africa, you’ll find a place to breathe, recharge, and connect — with the land, the wildlife, and the adventure ahead.
