I had a wonderful time.

We enjoyed our stay there. Our hosts were excellent and very helpful with local information and guidance. The local French resturant was a top recommendation. Our only issue was not knowing in advance of the multi levels - great if you are still agile and and can climb lots of stairs from the lower rooms. Very quiet and peacefull, enjoyed long breakfast discussions.

From Port Elizabeth and Airport on coastal road (R72)
After the Airport, continue through the industrial area of town on the R72, crossing the Buffalo River Bridge and proceeding to the end of Fleet Street. Turn left at the Fitzpatrick Road R72 (N2) sign and follow this road through the next two sets of traffic lights, until it becomes the North Eastern Expressway. Take the M4 off-ramp to Pearce St & Gleneagles Road. Turn right over the expressway and then immediately left into Old Transkei Road. At the second set of traffic lights on Old Transkei Road turn right into Beach Road.

From the Transkei and Durban (N2)
Take the North Eastern Expressway, (R72) off-ramp to the city Centre. After 3 km take the M4 Pearce St / Gleneagles Rd of-ramp. Get into the left-hand lane, turn left at the traffic lights and immediately left again into Old Transkei Road. At the second set of traffic lights turn right into Beach Road.

From Queenstown (Through Stutterheim)
You will come into town on the M4. By following the signs you will get onto the North Eastern Expressway - follow directions as for Transkei & Durban, above.

From Grahamstown (and King Williams Town) on the N2
Take the M1 Western Avenue off ramp to the city centre. Turn right into Western Avenue and at the third set of traffic lights; turn left into the R102 (Devereux Avenue). Proceed to the T-junction at the end of this road with a Mercedes dealership on the left. Turn left into Old Transkei road and right at the next set of traffic lights into Beach road.

One on Beach Road:
Take the third turning to your left just before the shops. This is Schultz Road, which becomes Sheerness Rd (One Way) after 300m. We are No 2B, the 2nd house on the left as the road dips and bends to the right.
