Directions:
From King Shaka International Airport:
1. As you leave the airport, follow the signs for the N2 North toward Stanger (now known as KwaDukuza) and Empangeni.
2. Once you've merged onto the N2, you're basically going to stay on this highway for about 155 km. It's a scenic drive through the rolling sugar cane hills of KwaZulu-Natal.
3. Keep an eye out for the toll plazas; you'll pass through the Mvoti and Mtunzini plazas, so make sure you have your card or some cash handy.
4. After roughly an hour and a half, take Exit 327 for the R34 toward Richards Bay and Empangeni.
5. Turn right at the top of the off-ramp onto the R34 (John Ross Highway) and head toward Richards Bay. You'll stay on this main road for about 15 km.
6. As you enter the city area, continue straight on the R34, which eventually becomes Anglers Rod as you cross the bridge into the suburb of Meerensee.
7. Turn left onto Lauwrens Svendsen Drive, then take your first right onto Krewelkring.
8. Follow Krewelkring for a short distance, and you'll find La Rochelle Inn at number 110 on your left-hand side.
