Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp, “Place of the Giant Eagle Owl”, is the ideal location for a starry-eyed getaway. Discreetly tucked away in the tree line on the edge of the magnificent Mvubu plain, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp pampers its guests in five luxury canvas tents, where romantic oil lamps and home prepared meals served in the thatched Lapa add to this unique ‘Out of Africa’ experience.
Tucked away in the tree line on the edge of the magnificent Mvubu plain in the 12 000 hectare Mabula Private Game Reserve. The luxurious en-suite tents have been designed with soft furnishings in strong hues of rich African colour and are raised on platforms in order to maximize privacy.
This is the ideal location to venture out on a bush walk or horseback safari. After the morning activities, laze around the pool or retreat to your tent and leave the stress of the outside world behind. The evening game drive with sundowners is followed by home cooked dinner in the Lapa.
Only a two hour drive from Johannesburg, in the Malaria Free Waterberg Area, Kwafubesi promises to bring you close to nature.

Safaris
Guests can enjoy a morning and afternoon safari in open 4 x 4 vehicles. The early morning safaris are very rewarding with light for photography. Lions are still lively and on the move at this time, antelope are more energetic and an abundance of birds may also be seen. The afternoon safaris provide an opportunity to see nocturnal animals.
During the winter months the morning safaris depart at 06h30 and the afternoon safaris depart at 15h30. In summer the times change to 05h30 for the morning and 16h15 for the afternoon safaris.
Tea and coffee is served before the morning and afternoon safari departs.

All 5 Tents have a private deck, en-suite bathrooms, mosquito nets and fans. The tents are fully furnished with electricity. Children 13 years and older are welcome at Kwafubesi Tented Camp and will be accommodated in their own tents.

The lodge is situated in a Malaria free area. Conservation levy is applicable, payable per vehicle per sat directly at the lodge. Check-in and parking at Mabula Game Lodge reception. Please note there is no WIFI available at the lodge.
