KarMichael Farm is situated on a 35 Ha working farm just outside the Village of Himeville, in the Southern Drakensberg. Accommodation consists of 4 Self Catering Cottages and 4 Bed and Breakfast rooms.

In total, we can sleep 22 people depending on sleeping arrangements. The property also has 2 freshwater dams that can be fished. At present, there is only bass in the dams, and it’s a strictly catch and release policy.

The Farm has superb views into Lesotho with Hodgson’s Peaks very prominent on clear days. The turn off to Sani Pass is just over 1 Km away.

Augusta has a full en-suite bathroom with bath, shower toilet and hand basin. There are hot blankets for relief from the chilly winters. Augusta has two comfortable 3/4 Beds.

Fisherman's Cottage has 3 bedrooms, comfy lounge and open plan kitchen and dining area. One room has a queen size bed and the other 2 have 3/4 and single beds. Hot blankets will be supplied for those chilly winter evenings.Has a fireplace and braai area.

Livingstone Room

Livingstone is one of 4 tastefully decorated and spacious with bathroom which has a huge walk-in shower. There is also a corner bath unit and toilet and hand basin.

Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage is a comfortable 2 bedroom self-catering cottage. Each has its own spacious private bathroom with large shower, bath, toilet and hand basin. It has an open plan lounge, dining room and fully fitted kitchenette, as well as fireplace.

Serenity

Serenity has a full en-suite bathroom with bath, shower toilet and hand basin. Serenity has two comfortable 3/4 Beds and hot blankets for winter.

This unit has 2 ¾ beds and is self-catering. The kitchen area has a small fridge, toaster and microwave oven. There is also a combined small 2 plate cooker and oven. There is an outside braai area too.

- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.

Directions:

Take Exit 99 off the N3 Johannesburg/Durban highway onto the R617 road, to the Southern Drakensberg. Drive through Boston and Bulwer and onto Underberg. Its approximately 111Kms and takes about 70 minutes. In the village of Underberg, take the Himeville turnoff (at the Shell Garage/KFC). Drive 6.8Kms from the Shell Garage, through Himeville, and our entrance is on your RHS. If you are coming through from Lesotho and down Sani Pass you will hit the tar road by the Sani Pass Hotel. Proceed another 14Kms to the intersection with the Himeville Road. Turn right and drive approx 1.7Kms. to our entrance on the LHS. If you are coming through from Nottingham Road and Loteni you will have about 30Kms of tar outside Nottingham Road and then 60Kms of good dirt. You will then hit tar again and our entrance is 2kms further on, on the LHS
