Joy’s Place offers lovely self-catering cottages located on the host’s well-maintained property, in Plumstead, Cape Town. The cottages are nestled in a luscious green garden alongside the main house.
Guests have a choice of cottages, each with a private entrance that opens to the manicured garden. A TV with DStv, Netflix, YouTube is available, as well as Wi-Fi access is provided in all the cottages. The cosy 4-sleeper family cottage offers 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and an open-plan kitchen. The bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and a double sleeper couch in the lounge. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, bath and a toilet.
The kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate stove, a fridge, a microwave and 4-seater dining area. The open-plan 2-sleeper cottages each contain twin beds, the beds can be converted to a king-size bed on request, and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a toilet. Each of the kitchens is equipped with a fridge, 2-plate stove, microwave, tea and coffee-making facilities and a dining area.
Guests have access to a communal braai area and laundry facilities and a shared swimming pool. Pets are welcome with prior arrangements and airport shuttles can be arranged on request. Parking is available and inverters and power generators are available during loadshedding to ensure an uninterrupted power supply.

- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
* Cardholder & ID/Passport must be present at check-in.
* Credit card used for the online payment must be present at check-in.
* Facilities at Joy’s Place are shared between guests.
* No events (i.e. bachelor or bachelorette, stork, nappy, revealing parties, bridal showers, sales events, dress rehearsals, weddings, after parties, baptism, bat or bat mitzvah, etc.) should be held at the venue without upfront host approval. Charges will be levied for these events.
* Please note the property is monitored by CCTV.

* No illegal trading or illegal substance abuse will be allowed or tolerated.
Swimming
* Guests use the pool at your own risk.
* Children are always to be supervised by adults at the pool.
* The pool closes at 22h00.
* No eating and drinking in the pool. It is difficult to retrieve a broken glass from the pool and dangerous as well.
* Please bring along your own towels for swimming.
Music
* Be considerate of other guests and neighbours.
* Music is to be turned down by 20h00.
Cleanup/Crockery
* Do a quick cleanup after yourselves inside and outside. Large dirt bins are available outside the cottage.
* Crockery and cutlery to be washed up.
* In good faith, we opted not to charge breakage fees upon booking. Please report any breakages or damages during your stay.
* Pets are welcome to stay by arrangement at an additional cost.
* Visitors /Your Guest - No additional fee will be charged for one or two visitors popping in. Please inform the host in advance.
* If visitors wish to stay longer than 3 hours, a fee of R120 per head will be charged.
