Jenvey House Selfcatering Apartments offer units of all different sizes for the traveller who values privacy and prefers to cater for himself according to his/her own taste and time schedule. Units are serviced during week days and weekends can be arranged if needed.

Units are from bachelor style (for couple) to family cottages (4 adults) and we often help parents out with a mattress or two! All cottages are equipped with welcoming tea/coffee, most appliances (microwave, fridge, electric frying pan, two plate stove, toaster, kettle) and crockery & cutlery. Private braai facilities. Linen offered is white percale with good quality towels & units. The bigger units have its own lounge/dining room area and own private braai patio too. Parking is directly at the unit.

We are known for our personal service and our staff really try their utmost to keep our visitors happy. We are proud of our returning guests and treat them like family, still with the privacy they expect.

Access to popular places in Port Elizabeth is very easy - this is still the 10-minute town! Distances to NMMU (1.5km), beach (400m), shopping centre (800m), and the airport (5km), NMB stadium (7km). Even the popular school sport grounds eg. Grey High School/ Newton Park swimming pool is only 10-15min away via main roads.

Family unit:
Consists of 2 single beds / super kingsize (as per choice) with a large sleeper couch for 1 adult / 2 x children under 12.
Linen and towels also supplied. Spacious unit with open plan kitchenette. Private braai patio behind the unit.
Bathroom private (MES).

Double units:
Consists of a double bed, but couch can be replaced with single bed should it be necessary. Extra fee will apply.Bathroom private (MES). Spacious kitchenette open plan. Private little braai patio attached.

Family Cottage:
Consist of 2 bedrooms:
Main Room (Max 2) - Includes king size bed, or can be changed into 2 single beds. With patio door onto private patio.
Second room includes 2 single beds, lots of built in cupboards. Spacious bathroom to share. Private lounge area with DSTV & DVD open plan to little kitchen. Lovely private braai deck at the back.

Family Apartment:
Family Apartment (ground level) - Consist of 2 bedrooms: Luxury Room (Max 2) Private television / Selected DSTV. Includes king size bed, beautiful bathroom (full) with double basin and kettle with welcoming tea/coffee. Includes 3/4 bed, own sbt and kettle and welcoming tea/coffee. This unit has small lounge with kitchenette opening onto beautiful garden. One garage!

Serviced Mon-Sat(no public holidays). Safe Parking / Electrical Fencing.

Garden Studio unit offers a self catering apartment in the back corner of the establishment. Ideal in the lush garden for the more private traveler and opting for extra privacy during longer stays

Cancellation Policy:

- From 21 to 28 days guest forfeit 25% of the deposit
- From 14 to 21 days forfeit is 50%
- From 7 to 14 days forfeit is 75% of deposit
- Less than 7 days forfeit full deposit


13 Jenvey Road, Summerstrand

From main routes (Cape Town/Johannesburg/East London) take Setlar's Way free way M4 and follow until Summerstrand boards are indicated. Harbour will be on your left and you will be traveling along coastal road towards Summerstrand. A few meters after you have passed the Virgin Active / Humerail shopping centre on your right, you will pass through underneath a railway line but please STAY on the M4 Humewood. This will take you along the beachfront area on route to Summerstrand.

From airport: Exit towards Summerstrand (3/4 around the roundabout towards your right), go straight through another circle and turn Right at the robots in Allister Miller Road and stay on that road until you are at Beach Road (Mc Donalds on your right). Turn right (sea on your left).
You are in Summerstrand when you have the long pier (walkway) into the sea on your left. Please turn right into 10th Avenue and follow through until T-junction - Jenvey Road. 13 Jenvey Road is situated on your left. Welcome to Jenvey House!
