Indigo Self Catering Guesthouse

Indigo Self Catering Guesthouse is located in Stampriet, in the Hardap region of Namibia. Our guesthouse is about 200 kilometres west of the South African border (via M39 and C20) on your way from the Kgalagadi Gemsbokpark toward the West Coast of Namibia.

Come and enjoy the peace and quiet of our self catering services in the small, safe and hospitable community of Stampriet in Namibia. Stampriet is a small village resting on the banks of the Auob River and is perhaps best known for its fresh water springs and magnificent palm trees. Stampriet is surrounded by limestone ridges, red dunes and a variety of trees, on an almost endless source of artesian water. A warm water spring is located on a farm only 10 kilometres from the village and is a must-see for anyone passing through.

Indigo Self Catering is located on the road between Aranos and Mariental, on the way from Mata-Mata to Windhoek, in the oasis of the Kalahari where the water wells up through the earth and gives life to lucerne and vegetable fields between the dunes and camel thorn trees. Stampriet Private School, OK grocer and Kaap Agri are all within walking distance.

Enjoy the comfort of our luxurious air-conditioned and fully equipped en-suite rooms with single and double beds. Relax in the neat and tidy rooms, with more than enough space to store clothes and other belongings. Our beds are specially equipped with comfortable mattresses and bedding for a wonderful night’s rest, and our suites offer the privacy of your own garden and braai facilities. Cool off in the clean, refreshing blue water of our pool and relax or have a braai in the shade of the lapa.

Additional information surrounding Indigo Self Catering Guesthouse

There are two grocery stores and a filling station with a quickshop within walking distance of the guesthouse as well as two restaurants that feature the local cuisine.

Vegan and vegetarian meals are available at any of the two restaurants and fresh vegetables can be bought either from the nearby grocery stores or directly from the farm that supplies them just outside of the village.

An ATM is available at the nearby filling station and it is open between 7AM and 7PM.

Housekeeping services are available on request and will cost R50 per unit per day.

Each unit has its own fully equiped kitchen with a microwave, mini-fridge, cutlery and crockery as well as braai (barbeque) facilities.

Each unit has its own braai area. Indigo Guesthouse also provides firewood to guests.

We provide free uncapped wifi to all of our guests.

Our tap water is pumped, via borehole, directly from Stampriet’s very own artesian source and is perfectly safe to drink.

Guests can feel perfectly safe while taking a stroll around Stampriet.

A doctor will be available in Stampriet from 9AM until 4PM during weekdays and a hospital and doctors are available after hours in the neighboring town of Mariental about 60 km away.

Our premises are unfortunately not wheelchair friendly at this time. If you need wheelchair friendly accommodation please feel free to contact us for advise.

We provide shaded parking to all our guests close to their rooms. At this time there is one parking spot available per unit so please notify us beforehand if you are going to arrive with multiple vehicles so that we can arrange to accommodate you.
